I think Derek is going to be semi-right about this game. Derek Smart isn't an idiot, he's just a little hot headed about certain topics and lets his ego get the best of him. Does that make him wrong? Not at all.

Personally, I love his crusade against Star citizen.. he's got emotion involved in this as he was the original star citizen but he released it.

Yeesh, they have IP addresses, not names. How many people use the IP address at your house?

Also, innocent until proven guilty? Just gonna throw that one out the window, eh?

Haven't read up on the case much but using a Tor Browser to access a site to distribute child porn isn't an accidental stumble. Takes some logical thoughts and actions to get to that point.

It's not like you went to the liquor store at 2 am, saw the windows smashed and then walked through the window to see what's up, police show up and you get charged for it.

It's not like lemonparty linking to your friends. Hilarious as it might be...

The evidence is THERE, just they are unable to USE it for prosecution because of "illegal" means of acquiring the evidence. It's quite the dilemma in the legal system.

While I understand that the rules are there to be followed, in some cases when the outcome is obviously evil and the people can't get convicted because the law enforcement agency didn't follow the rules these should be the times when the rules are overlooked for the greater good.

Which makes me think that the FBI should just release the list of these people and let the populace sort it out.

It was easier to keep a lid on hackers in the days of privately run dedicated servers with admins.

Funny how 1997 was way more advanced than today in some ways.

I kickstarted "The Dwarves" but haven't followed anything even thought I had access to beta/alpha. I hate unfinished games so leaving this till release (december 1st).

Wondering if it'll turn out well.

I'm obviously getting more jaded in my old age because even I thought "What does this guy get by writing this article? does he have some stock in some indie games that he would profit from? Nah, he's obviously just writing diarrhea click-bait bullshit"

Pretty sure Valve just committed DIGITAL HOMICIDE to Digital Homicide by ending their relationship.

What the hell was that? And scheisse is right!

If you crumple up a whole bunch of toilet paper and paper towel and pile it up. It can explode due to the correct combination of fuel and air ratio.

If you really want to test this, you can take something as simple as flour into a plastic bag and shake the flour up vigorously over a candle (it will explode, don't do this).

God damn it... Rogue.

If it's Rouge, it's a makeup based simulation.

Exactly what I was thinking. I hate garbage RNG rogue-likes. Nothing like having your gameplay entirely based off luck sometimes and not player skill.

Having a debate this morning:

Jeremy Hill/Marvin Jones or Mike Wallace for my flex position. Sadly, I don't have any better choices.

Early Access is like paying for the wedding before you go on the first date.

You don't know if you're actually going to like it, but it looks pretty to you.

Bad games got worse! Who would have thought that would happen if developers are giving out keys for positive reviews?

Not that it really bothers me though since most of the games on this list are cancerous indie titles which have over run Steam. I saw a Toad hobbling along on the yard earlier today and I think I cared more about it than anything on this list.

I don't think I recognized a single title.

Also, I've heard that people can essentially play for free by selling ISK? Is that partly driving this?

You can play for free by buying "PLEX" with in game currency. PLEX is only generated when someone spends real cash to buy PLEX and sell it for ingame currency. Basically it's a cash for gold but legal and made by the developers.

The issue is, it takes roughly 1 week of work to pay for a PLEX so some people love this and some people hate it.

How the fuck is this a good thing? If you own the game, reguardless of where you purchased it your review should count.

If you can come up with a better way of blocking fake reviews, please post it. It's a very hard problem to solve everywhere on the internet right now.

Different keys? GMG and other resellers get one type of key, free dev keys are a different type of key.

Would this be a function of the developer or valve? I think it's developer scope so it would be difficult to enforce since the developer could say that these range of algorithm keys are for steam but they could give them away.

Remember, most of these fake reviews are done to sell more titles, not to commit review terrorism onto other games

“There’s a tendency sometimes to go a little beyond the spiritual mysticism in the movie into actual magic,” he explained. “They can’t have any actual magic, because it’s not a universe that allows for true magic. But it definitely exists in a kind of a mystical, spiritual realm. The films do, and the show definitely does as well. It was that kind of creative conversation.”

James Cameron is so far up his own ass that he's nearing day light again.

while I understand what he's talking about because the first avatar was like native american spiritual beliefs but with actual weird hair connection not peyote and wacky tobaccy.

It's just another one of those artsy type conversations where a guy is trying to go really deep to sound better(?)

Don't you just hate it when the energy readings go off the charts?

Absolutely,

but it's a reference to old analog measurement when the needle would actually go farther than the gauge would allow. You can have this in a digital form as well when you put a limit on your digital HMI and it would just read the maximum or error out.

Its poor dramatic writing but I'm still looking forward to this game.
