I normally avoid massive films like this at the cinema in the first month because I don't like crowded cinemas (I saw the first Hobbit film towards the end of January, and there was about ten people in the cinema with us). However, my wife is due to give birth December 28th, so I'm marking this down as one of those things we need to do in December before our daughter is born because we won't as easily be able to afterwards!

And this is precisely why this excites me. The Amnesia games didn't do anything for me (I know I'm probably in the minority there), but an SCP-like version of them...

They ripped off the whole viewpoint idea from Far Cry 3.

Assuming you're serious - you know viewpoints have been in every single Assassin's Creed game, all the way back to 2007, right?

Uh, it's not live yet Blue.. even the pullout you posted says it's "nearly" here Current best estimates are August 27th when the PvP season is planned to end, though that could change.

Anyone list games by keys? Which gives you Steam and which are Origin? Thanks.

It tells you right there on the page - look at the symbols beneath each game.

There's already a (teaser) page up for D3's expansion, which will be be announced at Gamescom in Germany next week. So it's looking far more likely to be the next WoW expansion - the last one was trademarked about this time of year too.

I'm unfamiliar with the game, but I'm most impressed that a solo developer has the perseverance to work on a project for 3 years.

I highly recommend it. You feed it your mp3 (or used what's included) and it generates a robotron type of gameplay (one stick movement, another stick aiming), based on the beat of the song you picked. You can get into some insane shooting, after awhile...as you continue to play, you earn points to unlock more powerful weapons.

There's also a demo on Steam.

Well, it isn't ideal, but you can still copy the MP3s in your playlist into their own folder and point BH at that.

Yep, I've enjoyed it too. I've tried a variety of music games and this is one of my favorite ones.

Thirded - had so much fun with this game, well worth it.

Well while it doesn't state in this particular loss of subs, the last drop was mainly in the East - where F2P MMOs are king, and they've specifically said they're (at least initially) aiming the buff items at that market. Also consider how they changed the game over there to have separate raid lockouts again for 10- and 25-player raids, because they wanted that.

To me it sounds like they're just trying to adapt to the Eastern MMO market as it's pretty different to the West, to lose as few subs as possible.

It's been a while since I played it, but I thought every time you got close enough the game popped a message onscreen telling you what to press for kill/incapacitate.

But then, I can understand why you might turn those off

I guess I'm the only one still looking forward to this then! Though they certainly took their sweet time about it.

Picked up the first part of this yesterday on Steam for £2.71, which I was pleased with. Hopefully the second part will drop in price a bit by the time I get through the mountain of Steam games I have waiting..

One little niggle I have with this that bugs me - the animation when he searches that body early on is exactly the same as the last.. two, three games?

It's a tiny thing, but it irritates me that they haven't changed that animation whatsoever, and it makes it feel more like an expandalone (again) than a whole new chapter.

UK site GetGamesGo has a big Borderlands sale on right now if folk are interested in picking this up now. The main game is £6.79, DLC reduced too, but no Season Pass (apparently they had it up briefly then the publishers told them to remove it):

Wish I could pick it up myself, but just can't stretch to it even at this price

That £2.50 upgrade appears to include G+K - that's a bargain.

BNW isn't available in the UK from GMG. The user review on GMG is, erm, interesting. It's a glowing, 99/100 review for something which "is virtually unplayable". Wut? So an expansion - which isn't actually available yet - is nearly perfect, yet almost unplayable. Right-o.

I wrote a whole paragraph about how it IS available in the UK and didn't know what you were looking at, then realised you clicked the link in a post earlier - that's an NA specific page. Just go to the front page in the UK and it's advertised in two places, or just clicky here.

And yeah, I've no idea what crack that reviewer is on o.O

For those with vanilla Civ 5 (or just without all the DLC), Steam have a Civ 5 Upgrade that is just £2.50 (which is, what, 4 bucks?) - that nets you ALL the Gold Edition content, DLC and expansions alike, apart from Brave New World. Absolute bargain.
