No, you can't buy the expansions, they are free to all subscribers at launch. If they follow the model of previous expansions, they will eventually become free for F2P players, too.

Cord cutters don't really need to worry that much...they'll just go back to pirating what they want to watch.

When streaming became affordable and easy, piracy rates went down, way down. And now that the media companies are trying to get everybody to subscribe to 5 or 6 different services (which would cost about as much as a basic cable package) and pulling crap like this, wouldn't you know it, piracy rates are creeping back up.

Make it easy and affordable, and people would rather pay than pirate. Make it difficult and expensive, and people would rather pirate than pay. I don't understand why the media companies can't seem to get that.

I don't understand all the hate for SWTOR here on Blue's...just got done playing the first four chapters of Knights of the Fallen Empire and I'm having a freaking blast.

If any of you are interested on whether a CIG lawsuit would succeed against the Escapist, I invite you to read this awesome article by Ken White on Popehat. Ken's a current defense attorney and former Federal prosecutor who is a free speech advocate.

TLDR; CIG has no chance of winning a lawsuit against the Escapist, even if the Escapist's claims are false.

As a regular player (since beta) of SWTOR, these changes look pretty awesome. If it works how they say it will, it'll get rid of some of the credit-sink BS with gearing up companions, simplify some issues with gearing up (it really sucks when you get a great piece of gear that looks awesome and unfortunately enhances a stat not used by your class), and level sync will make playing with friends (especially ones with lower level characters) way more fun.

I'm excited, and can't wait 'till the 27th to play this!

I bought GW2, enjoyed it, but I won't be buying the new expansion. Why? For that kind of money, it should be the size of the original game, with the same amount of content. I paid $50 for that back then, why should I expect less?

Yeah, people who got stuff seized didn't have standing because the charges weren't against them: it was against whatever was seized. So now we have fun court cases like United States vs. $10,000 In American Currency, or State of Tennessee vs. 2013 Ford F-150 Truck.

I so, so wish I was kidding.

Glad to get this. I don't like EA, but I have Origin installed for SW:TOR. Still, it's a fun game, and it's nice to get it for free.

I played this in the beta, and never picked it up when it went live.

This game is, well, boring. It's a single player game, with all the annoyances of MMOs (oh, you need to pick up this item to fulfill a quest? Somebody else just picked it up, so you'll have to wait for a bit until it respawns)

I'm not even sure I would play this game if it were F2P.

Honestly, this push by Comcast seems to me like "Well, we want a national wireless network, but we don't want to build and pay the infrastructure...why don't we get our customers to provide it for free?"

I'd be okay with this if Comcast were giving customers who participate in the program some kind of discount (perhaps not charging them the rent charge for the modem/router they provide), but they're not.

The game's a lot of fun...when you can actually get into a match. Spent an hour tonight waiting to get matched up, before I gave up.

It's not deep, but it's a fun way to spend a few minutes.

Been waiting for a good MW game for a long time, and I'm still waiting. This game doesn't interest me at all. Making giant bots move like people doesn't make them seem like giant bots (or Mechs). I dunno... this game just looks lame to me.

Although I agree with you that this game doesn't look too hot...Shogo was pretty awesome. I wish they'd make a sequel to that game.

The Mac Pro is just a ridiculously overpriced PC. Can't imagine trying to transport something round ever, just a dumb design with zero advantage. A 12 core processor, well unless you are running apps that actually will use such and there are not many of them outside the scientific community. Again ridiculous. A friend has a system with a top end I7, 3 graphic cards, and a big solid state disc, less than 5k and it will blow the doors off the Mac Pro. Not much of an Apple fan when it comes to PC's since they are extremely overpriced and flat out badly designed.

In my experience, you're right. This year, my MacBook Pro died; I paid a little over $3k for it in 2011. I went to replace it, and ended up buying a Toshiba Satellite P75-A, and, for about $800, I got a better, faster computer. So much so that I don't think I'm ever going to buy an Apple product again.

My health care is perfectly fine too. It's of our nationalized health system too. I work, but our system covers everyone.

I don't think our country is going bankrupt over it either, in fact, good all round health care for all helps a countries GDP if you want to look at it in such crude ways.

I see you anit sure cos you have no idea what will happen, but I don't see giving everyone medical help is a bad thing.

Healthcare premiums have tripled in the last year. Thank you Obamacare. They've gone up every year since 2003, since some facets of Obamacare are already in effect, it's only going to get worse on that front.

He eliminated the one option that would have made sense, single payer.

We already do give everyone medical help, you can't turn away a sick person simply due to not having insurance.

Speaking from personal experience, yes they can, and yes they do. If the illness or injury is not potentially life threatening, they will not treat you without either cash up front or insurance. I had a hernia a few years ago, and tried to get the necessary surgery to fix it, and was told I could either come up with $6000 up front, or just deal without treatment. Eight years later, I have a huge lump of scar tissue under my skin where the hernia was, and deal with constant stomach problems.

If I lived in a country with universal healthcare, I could have had the problem fixed, right away, and wouldn't have to deal with this stuff now.

Looks like kind of a spiritual successor to Shogo, only with less of an anime theme. Shogo's one of my favorite games of all time, so that's a good thing, at least it is to me.
