Is it just me or are the Bundle Stars getting worse and worse all the time?
They've always been pretty ghetto. They do have the very rare sale on something good every once in a blue moon though.

Run out of operating capital, so you gotta ship, even if it's not ready? Maybe they should have done a Kickstarter or Early Access if that was the case? This kind of game would probably work for EA.

Great so any chance of it getting out of alpha before 2020? That being said I played around 40 hours and had lots of fun with it. However it feels rather incomplete because it is.

Well I hope it's not just Californy, that would be boring. There's plenty of other places I'd rather drive in the US. And I definitely prefer the flat-faced European style trucks.
SpectralMeat wrote on Jan 30, 2015, 14:17:Keep in mind this is from the ALpha build and it looks like they're using some ETS assets as place holders. I'd expect the finished game to look much more American.
Looks a heck of a lot like ETS2
The inside of the truck is still looks so static.

Yay, I guess? At no point have I really wanted to buy random virtual goods from other people, especially when it starts mucking with game balance such as in TF2.Alamar wrote on Jan 28, 2015, 20:47:Quite a bit of it goes towards paying the credit card transaction fees. Valve still makes some money, but they don't get to keep all of it.
Reminds me of when Apple announced years back they had paid out 100 million or so to app devs...
Assuming Valve takes the usual 30%, and round it slightly to 33%, that means they've made 25 million 'free' dollars just for hosting that transaction...
Where does all their money go, if not (many) new features, or games...
At least in Apple's case, the iTunes store is largely revenue neutral. Fees eat most of it, the rest is spent on app advertising.

After seeing the dated graphics the sense of nostalgia dies pretty quick. It'd be nice if they were re-released with updated HD graphics. Look at Resident Evil for example, they can do the same here.
SpectralMeat wrote on Jan 21, 2015, 20:23:Welcome to America! We'll sell you a shotgun, all the booze you can drink and a really graphic video game in which you stomp some guys head in. But don't you dare try and see a boob.
Interesting stance by Valve.
Tits=censored, extremely graphic
Blowing someone's head off = all good

I hear ya about these subcriptions. I want to/ kind of need to get photoshop but I'm sure as hell not paying them a monthly subcription. I suspect that if Micro$oft tries this with 10 it will make 8 look like a massive success.
I'm not sure how deep you want to get into Photoshop, or how much of a power user you are, but GIMP 2 is an open source image editor with a shocking amount of functionality built in for the low low price of completely free. I'm still learning the ropes, but I've been having a great time with it.

I'm sick to death of "services" when all I want is a complete product. Fuck that noise.

Some clarification on the Windows as a service comment.
That's downright decent of them. I hope they make the clean installation less fussy with the key. I recall having trouble doing a fresh install of 8.1 with an 8 key whereas updating an 8 install to 8.1 works fine.
