I use to love this game and its story telling, and at first I was okay with the space goats....but when all the time travelling existed and before you know it we were all invited up on to the space goat space ship....was the moment I thought the writing was horrid.

One day we're all kumbaya and fighting a global cause, even sharing cities and faction halls...then the next moment for some reason we follow a linear story where our leader is retarded and we suddenly hate for no reason the heroes who did nothing wrong...booooo to the Alliance!

I read somewhere about good game play design and story telling and can see the cracks in WoW, the story telling went bad when they changed the player from the wandering adventurer exploring a vast and expansive world, whilst there was an underlying unbalance among the factions ...to...BOOM, lord commander general of the Horde, manage the outpost in Outland, you're the warchief's right-hand man (along with the other 4million players)

I'm a strange one in that I actually didn't enjoy Anno 1800, I grabbed the first season pass but playing that reminded me why I don't like this one.

I think it does too many things, I love in a casual slow manager building up cities and managing my supply chains, but Anno 1800 complicates it with farm ratios, worker balancing, population crown taxing, worker depot distribution costs, enhancing via items and oil, rail..then rebalancing with enhancements, item production...multizone item dependencies...etc.

I really liked Anno 1404 2205 and 2070. 2205 had to grow on me as it managed global distribution instead of goods transported, eventually I really got in to it

So it's a reboot/remake of the old "Startopia" from Mucky Foot, by the looks and sounds of it.

Looks like it but it isn't, one dev in a YouTube chat said he had no idea there was another game...which seems astonishing given that I've been following this one and the similarities are near identical.

I still play MuckyFoot's version, I love it

May not be your cup of tea but WoW Classic is one of the best games to be released in 2019. I'm loving it

Not so sure, I still think WOW is better, classic to me is a step backwards. I played the hell out of this game for years. I like how it evolved. This class shit is a grind fest. Took forever to level, took forever to make any gold. No flying, slow ass travel times. 40 man raids were nightmares, getting any loot out of and getting 40 people together most of the time was very difficult.

You and I enjoy very different types of games. Blizz made $15 out of me, I resubbed for Classic and never owned or played BFA.

It has its drawbacks as things in BC and WotLK I prefer...some UI improvements...but all in all, Classic to me is a better game than what you play on Live

A lot has grown, improved and evolved along the WoW lifetime...making live better in some ways

A lot has broken, disconnected players, trivialised experienced...making live so much worse in many ways.

I think WoW classic is on par with what we've got, but it has an opportunity to grow WoW in a way that doesn't follow the same bad decisions that Live did. Introduce TBC and WotLK but without achievements, flying and group finder...remove level caps and have people still raid MC, Kara, Nax and ICC...all with some value.

Wow Classic could become WoW done correctly!

The left...they have universities, Hollywood, and Silicone Valley. Not. Much. Else.

It's socially acceptable to hate on the right and yet exactly as you say, they glorify things in a movie about the things they supposedly hate.

YAYY look at all the triggered Europeans.

"We must make a point against Americans who plead the 2nd."

Jeeze...as an Australian learn not to give a fuck. If they want to shoot one another who cares! If you don't even live in that country it literally has zero impact on you so your opinions are invalid.

Last I checked planet overpopulation is a legitimate issue that does impact you. Fk let them do it, did anyone here even know one of the kids in the latest shoot out? nope..? Then wtf do you care?

I spent a year living in the states, the rare potential possibility of being killed by a gun is just a way of life there; you adapt.

The Civ 6 article literally in the first 5 words announces a turn based strategy game as a real-time strategy game.

Do people no longer know what certain words mean?!?

You know I'm really getting sick and tired of the hate on Blizz 'ActiBlizz' bullshit and anti-D3 negativity

you don't like it, fine, stop playing it...but I have found D3 (post patch 2.0) to be one of the most enjoyable games of 2015.

...sorry, but some of us thougherly enjoy it, and yes I played Torchlight, and it is effectively competing with Diablo...and I kinda think Diablo holds the market here, despite the dozen pro-indi developers out there that praise them...it's TOUGH to compete against Blizz in ARPG and MMO's these days because they've done so well at them.

They're annoying, but it's precisely how you're SUPPOSED to play. Quite a surprise the first time they do it though.

Oddly enough, I found the difficulty one below the default (the one below Adept) to be more frustrating since it seems my teammates have no idea how to play.

I feel exactly the same, higher difficulty to me seems strangly easier...as now for the first time my team mates seem to know what they're doing.

If you play Anno 2070 now as first game ever, within 2 minutes you would be right at home again in Anno 1404... is that "good" ? To me it's... just lazy game design.

Yeah it's just a preference thing because I see that as a good thing. It's what I know and love..but with added flavor; and yes I thought each one added that bit extra, plus gave it a new feel.

I'm in the group of people that doesn't believe 3D, new technology etc. has improved games. I'd rather play Caesar 3 over Caesar 4 any day...Sim City 4 over SC2013...or any of the old adventure games like Gabriel Knight 1 over 3 etc. I find that new tech takes the centre stage and neglects the overall polish.

Whereas the ANNO series (for me) has found a winning formula and have managed to not break it over the years which I quite like.

I've always loved setting up sandbox maps and just seeing how much I can develop and push each island to its limits. Also I find the single player campaigns to be high quality...good music, voice acting, the gfx and detail on the birds and water on the islands.

I can say I will 100% jump on this, I've found my PC has always got at least one of the ANNO games installed, as they playthrough is there and I don't find them outdatted

I wonder if that's true outside of Europe/USA.

It isn't, and that is where the majority of piracy takes place.

As an Australian it is all too expected to be involved in Piracy, considering our starting prices for AAA games is around $90 ($69US)

Hmmm.....They had nothing to do with Pharaoh or Caesar III which were great games!!! They did however have a lot to do with the expansion pack Pharaoh: Cleopatra and Caesar IV which were horrid games.

I also thought Children of the Nile (which they did make) was a little lack luster.

So I have my doubts about this.
