From Gamasutra on July 23:
Full Control will also be discussing plans for co-op player mode as well as the upcoming Level Editor at Gamescom. These features will be added to the game in a future patch. Here's the link |

Tony Scott: Apple flogs old movies and profits from a man’s suicide. That's disgusting...weren't they also the ones caught inflating the cost of Whitney Houston albums right after her death?
edit: Apparently that was Sony.
You can't rule out the influence of the studios(s) in many of these cases. We'd have to be pretty naive to think that they wouldn't try to profit on this kind of news.
I agree that it lacks class, but I'm still not surprised.
As for the article which talks about Tony Scott getting his own page in iTunes only because he died, I can't say that I have a big issue with that. The man died and it was tragic. But it also probably caused a lot of people to ask, "What movies did the guy make?" Putting them altogether on a single page so people can see the body of his work makes sense to me. For example, I thought I was familiar with his work but I didn't know he made "The Hunger." Unfortunately iTunes only lists his more "popular" movies on the page rather than all movies affiliated with him (or at least that's the case with iTunes Canada). |

Do you have a valid source for B or just spouting off BS?
You don't need a valid source. It's pretty obvious just from looking around at what's been happening and what people have been saying. All the heat going on. Then, word of mouth travels to those that don't visit forums or gaming sites, and then they will stop playing because their friends stopped. A ripple effect.
edit: and it's easy to assume that 85% of the playerbase for D3 are the same people that grew up with D1/D2, and they all have expectations that were not met. In fact, they are realizing that they were simply taken advantage of. I don't know if this validates the statement, but the Xfire data seems to indicate a big drop-off in players.
Some quick sources: http://beta.xfire.com/games/d3 "Diablo 3 Player Count Drops Big Time, Consumers are Fed Up" "Diablo 3 active player base sees a decline according to Xfire stats"
I know that I gave up on it about 5 weeks ago after putting in over 150 hours and getting one character up to inferno difficulty. |
