Not sure exactly what this would be like to play, but it certainly looks pretty cool.

I wonder how far along our technology has to progress before the general public will understand that "space dogfighting" is not and will never be a thing.

Passing on MEA. I'm not going to supportthat racist senior gameplay designer atuninspired, generic, low-effort games with dated graphics and ugly characters from BioWare Montreal.
Fantaz wrote on Mar 13, 2017, 01:36:No, "you" don't need a solid 60fps to have a fun gaming experience. FPS experience is a very subjective thing. Some people can't tell the difference between 30 and 60, and some people feel awful playing at 60 compared to 120.Creston wrote on Mar 12, 2017, 19:40:
I still think it's so weird that Sony and MS to first deliver pretty underpowered new consoles, realize that they're underpowered, build new ones, and make these new ones go straight to (sorta) 4K, where they're again underpowered.
Why not let these things do every single possible graphical bell and whistle at 1080p and run at a rock solid 60fps?
It seems Scorpio may at least somewhat make a difference at 1080p? The PS4 Pro doesn't really do much.
Just stupid decisions.
you don't really need solid 60fps to have a fun gaming experience... i'm fine settling with anywhere above 30fps tbh and ps4 pro delivers on all games at 4K with at least 30fps, so i dont think they're that underpowered

Haha. No sign of Torment. Pretty dead out the gate that one and well deserved after the half-assed job they did on that "game" or visual PDF more like... and don't gimme PST was like that because it wasn't. PST was 500% more actual game than TToN.
Still glad I got a last minute refund for my pledge a few weeks back. The feature cuts and the fact that they put nicer stuff into the retail CE than the "exclusive" backer CE broke the camel's back for me.

It's not a Bethesda "RPG" which is the best selling point for me. I guess I'm one of the rare ones that really liked Wasteland 2, but hey everyone has their own tastes.
I have to wait for the boxed collectors so it'll be a bit before I can offer my take.
PHJF wrote on Feb 27, 2017, 13:36:There's a huge difference between the sex scenes in say Witcher 3 and God of War's grunting and head-board banging. Just like the Witcher series, Mass Effect is a character driven RPG and hopefully ME:A takes initiative from the Witcher and makes the sex scenes about the characters, not the sex.
The "romance" in every BioWare title is about as considered and mature as a group of fifth graders snickering at the utterance of "penis" during a sex ed class.

Can't wait for this! Ian Frazier, lead game designer, said that Mass Effect 3 averaged about 24 hours of game play. He was asked on Twitter how long the campaign was for Andromeda and he said it's even longer yet.

Not recommended. Not even at this price point. RG is an endless grind.
You waste a lot of your time going from A to B, then looking for/collecting objects, repetitive dogfights, then going back from B to A (A being some space station, B is somewhere far away from that space station). Repeat this procedure 5-10 times and you have the cash to upgrade your MK-1 laser to a MK-2 laser that has slightly better stats and looks exactly the same.
Game saves automatically and only when docked at a station.
Enemies have unlimited ammo, you don't (and you will run out of missiles FAST).
New ships only come with more weapon slots, they look different but feel exactly the same.
BORING.
Oh look! Here comes the "I'm so cool because I disagree with everyone else and I know I'm right" guy. I'm amazed at how it doesn't take more than 4 posts for one of those to show up.
