Jesus christ, it's not surprizing that the mainstream media doesn't "get" gaming youtube personality humour, but 50 million people do.

Except the problem is he's contracted by large every-man corporations. They don't like anything that can be perceived as damaging to their brand and frankly that's entirely understandable. So easily a statement or endorsement can be taken out of context and so quickly can misinformation propagate. Next thing Coca Cola is fielding a sea of negative publicity across multiple countries with people throwing their products on the street - all captured on YouTube (or Facebook Live or Twitter etc), or Disney is facing a wide-scale boycott of its latest expensive CGI movie drivel etc.

They don't want the negative publicity because it directly impacts their bottom line. They want middle of the road inoffensive content with maybe a few risqué remarks to keep it fresh but certainly nothing that advocates political allegiances or social ideals because that doesn't help them peddle their wares to their target audience; *everybody*.

It shows frankly poor judgement and a degree of naivety on the part of PewDiePie. He should have realised that there are always strings attached.

Typical focus grouped garbage. All the 'aliens' - even the 'baddies' are anthropoids - it's like watching a trailer for the original Star Trek. Guess EA thinks its audience couldn't handle anything that was actually alien.

Nice stereotypical 'black-guy' voice "I been waiting 600 year for this shit!"

Obsidian created arguably one of the best Kickstarter games out there, plus they kept updating it long after release. Can't fault Obsidian on this one.

Looking forward to this next instalment.

This list is so very "ARS"... YikYak? Who cares about a failed social media site that was never actually successful?

Then they blast twitter for the fact that it's users are uncontrollable and leaving the service for SnapChat. Doesn't this (hopefully) mean that Snapchat (running on the same failing business model) is now going to be flooded with the same uncontrollable user base that scares away investors and run themselves out of business as well? Shouldn't they make the list?

How does this list not start with Sprint?!

I'm bored.

No. Snapchat has a path to profitability, my company will soon be paying them tons, as will our competitors, but it also makes random interaction with those jerk consumers near impossible. They're eyeballs, not voices.

Your company will be paying Snapchat oodles of cash for what exactly?

Pretty sure at this point the 'value' is completely detached from any semblance of reality.

Some speculate it's Indian interest, others that it's Chinese capital flight, others greater interest in narcotics - no one really knows, but the charts don't back up an explosion of real-world interest (https://blockchain.info/charts).

An unpopular but highly likely explanation is Chinese Bitcoin exchanges are just ratcheting up the price and waiting for all the bots (automated traders) and human traders on the other exchanges to follow suit. Having followed Bitcoin for a while, I'm pretty certain the Chinese exchanges aren't even using real trades on their own exchanges - just creating fraudulent ones on their own systems (A bit like if NYSE bought shares quoted on its own system without any actual capital) and seeing if all the other exchanges follow the increase in price, then they rinse and repeat.

It's entirely unregulated and therefore easy to do. They'd only get 'caught out' if the price collapsed and everyone tried to withdraw their holdings. It's exactly the strategy (and downfall) of one of the first Bitcoin exchanges; MtGox.

tl;dr; highly likely a pump-and-dump ponzi led by the fake trade volume on Chinese Bitcoin exchanges.

All this made me want is an actual high budget warhammer 40k movie. Those "animatics" that they're doing in the game look pretty awesome though.

People are sick of Hollywood's recycled garbage. Judging by the YouTube views on Dawn of War III trailer and the Lord Inquisitor, there is an audience for a well acted, well constructed movie set in the 40K universe.

The lore is deep and - for the most part - well conceived, something Hollywood writing severely lacks.

Look kids, this is what happens to children when they were weened prematurely. Either that or it's an adult with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Except he's right. If it didn't have 'Star Wars' in-front of the title, people would see it as the shovel-ware it really is.

Ironically, the very best representation of Star Wars since Episodes 4,5 and 6 comes from EA in the form of their Knights of the Old Republic MMORPG CGI trailers.

They've been heading in this direction for a while. They realised pretty early on that the future is Software as a Service, hence Microsoft Azure and its ability to host numerous non-MS software stacks and .NET's migration towards a purely open-source, cross platform solution.

Fighting the inevitable is pointless and you've got to give them kudos for being sufficiently adaptable to spot and monetize the trend. Blackberry they are not.

As a Canadian watching your horrible political race going on....

I can't believe these are the two scumbags running for president.

No one was better? No one?

Something is seriously wrong with your political system and it's completely favored towards buying in. Otherwise, these little headlines of "Donations" wouldn't even be a thing.

Still, on principle I'd vote for Trump (seriously). The guys an idiot but at least he's something radically different. You can be pretty sure if he gets in there will be a lot of disjointed noses (and probably nuclear war), but at least the platitudes will differ...probably.

The Leave EU people are the best. They sound like the dumb Texan's wanting to leave the US any time there panties get in a bunch over some trivial BS. Like children throwing a fit at there parents when they are told they have to eat there vegetables, but the child's response is to run away from home and make his own home! With out vegetables being required. That will show'em!! Just stupid.

The EU is not the best, but NO government is, by default. The good thing about the EU is that they can throw judgements at companies who are tax dodging like Apple and more then likely get them to be held accountable. Look at those numbers. That is some serious tax dodging. Its unfair to everyone even to the Irish locals who pay the full normal tax amount.

If the news read, ohh Ireland is suing Apple for back taxes. Nobody really cares outside of Ireland. But the EU says it? There is a TON more weight behind it.

And you cannot throw that 6000 jobs thing at anybody. Same kind of argument is made about the Coal miner's in the US. Its a sad story to see a job go. But ruining everything else for those 6000 jobs is worse.

Spot on. You couldn't get this sort of judgement outside the EU. One country goes it alone, Apple could quite happily back their bags and starve them out, the EU does it and they've got to cough up the cash and there is nothing they can do about it... unless they want to lose access to a market of 550 million (relatively) rich people.

And yet Leave EU keeps parroting the line that the EU does nothing for them. Depressing such limited intelligence exists in the self-styled first world.
