Ok got a question for all of you about the Rogue One trailer.
Watch it again and tell me what is missing. Didn't realize it until watching it again, but there is something majorly 'Star Wars' missing from the trailer.

Space magic and laser swords?

Echoing others I simply will not trust any Microsoft game distribution platform after the long, painful debacle of GFWL. They're already demonstrated a shameful inability/lack of desire to properly maintain this sort of thing for PC.

Edit: And this is still ignoring all the really frustrating design decisions currently plaguing UWP that even prevent PC gamers from implementing fixes themselves. Simple fact is this game would not be as broken if it released as a standard exe on steam/origin/etc.

What's my point?

Star Trek > Star Wars

Star Trek was assimilated by the Borgrams Collective. It's biological and technological distinctiveness was added to his own. The resistance was futile.

Side note: I do hold hope for the new TV series to bring back the feel of (some) of the old series. They've got good people in charge.

10 points to anyone who can reference that quote without looking it up.

You were so preoccupied with whether or not you should give out those points that you didn't stop to think if you should

Oh sure moon ambassador sounds like an awesome gig, but that commute is a killer. You don't even want to think about the fuel costs.

William Shatner hit with $170 million paternity lawsuit.

I guess Billy couldn't keep it in his pants in space or in Canada?

Practically a job requirement. Does the baby have green skin?

Therein lies the problem, because you and $170M worth of US viewers *also* saw his movie last weekend, when everyone knew it would be bad and everyone who'd already seen it said it was bad.

I admit I regret supporting this monstrosity. I doubt it'll have any legs past the weekend though. I wouldn't have watched it normally, my gut was definitely saying (screaming) no. But some members of the group wanted to go and inertia took over. Might be the worst movie I've ever seen, and I've seen turds like 300 Rise of a Nation and Blues Brothers 2000.

Saw your movie last night Affleck, you damn well better be sad batman.

To be fair you weren't the problem though. You were actually pretty good considering the material and people you had to work with.

Given that two quarters ahead is the end of 2016, the company spokesperson didn't exactly oppose the rumor.

Boilerplate corporate response. It isn't true until we say it ourselves and it becomes true. Don't want shareholders getting uppity at uncontrolled information.

Hell forget creating a new email address, just use mailinator. Use it all the time when registering for sites I don't care if I lose my login. Been using this for years.

I definitely google the wrong random crap in my off hours..

Some results say $98M, some say $148M, some say 1000 orphans souls. I try to be unbiased.

Still it boggles the mind that people are still throwing money at this. Fallacy of sunk costs? Project is starting to remind me of the F35 program.

Ironically the amount of money invested in this game is approaching the cost to buy one of the cheapest F35 variants (depending on your source). Maybe that was the goal all along?

The PC isn't broken, it just isn't used by soccer moms anymore. Soccer moms like the fisher price tech. They outnumber us. Therefore fisher price tech for all. The billions they spend on closed platform stores with percentages going to the platform holders? Why that's just gravy.

If the goal of the yellow tint glasses is to try and reduce the harsh blue spectrum of light from the PC monitor give f.lux a try first. It's free. Makes a huge difference for me at night.

The chip is fucking stupid, a pin is fucking smart. You steal my card physically you have the chip just like my number. If you use a chip card online it doesn't validate the chip then. HELL-O?

The chip is designed to protect you and the bank from card skimmers not physical theft. Card skimmers often include some form of PIN capture. Can't speak to read delays it causes but the transaction is a matter of seconds up here in Canada. But then we deployed chip cards years ago so our systems may be better set up for it.
