COOL! They're saying Michael Jordan could be the new Neo!

New Neo: "What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets in my Hanes underwear?"

Morpheus: "No, New Neo. I’m trying to tell you that when you’re ready, you won’t need underwear."

Ah wait, wrong Michael Jordan... dammit.

Lock him up!

Republicans' hypocrisy knows no bounds. Half of Trump's administration is using personal email for government business and Trump's using an ancient unsecured phone for communication, while talking about top secret information in public restaurants. Meanwhile Republicans aren't concerned that it seems Trump's entire administration has been in talk with the Russians, while Russia was actively helping him win the election, then after the election, he promised to lift sanctions on them. Hell, that's treason!

3D-printed skin

Dressing up robots in human tissue isn’t the only way scientists are using tech to innovate transplants: medical researchers in Spain are already using patient cells to 3D-print human skin.

This is kinda sounding more and more like Westworld! I'd assume naturally that the first robot will be called Dolores and be damn handy with a six-shooter

Weapon degradation was a horrible 'feature' in the game.

Agreed. In SS2 you could turn it off. I think they added that in one of the patches.
That, and I think you could turn off the respawning too with another patch... if I am remembering that right, hell it was a looooong time ago when I played SS2.

Yes, I am pretty sure you could do that too.

I might have to fire it up again - it really is a fun game and I'm intrigued by the upgrades.
Ditto, all this talk is giving me the itch!

He actually said that he would resign. The ugly part is that even the Republicans are starting to distance themselves from him which means...Yeah, he is about to be fuuuuuuuucked.

Heh, it's kinda like the scene in 'The Godfather' at the end when Michael slowly closes the door to his office as his wife looks longingly towards the closing door. It REALLY just means one thing: impending doom...

What in this video is so good that it overshadows the bad?
I'm not sure about "overshadowing the bad" but I can tell you the stuff that I liked?

I liked how mobile your character is now as compared to previous games.

I like the new scanner thingy that she uses and I think it's a neat new feature.

It seems like you can use ANY skill now with any character build now, that sounds awesome. Also you can use any gun with any class, apparently, which is a welcome change.

I like the new graphics. They seem to be really nice and not too demanding on hardware.

I like that it's totally in a new galaxy.

I guess that's about it. Not sure if that's better than the bad but just what I like about what i've seen.

It looks like typical first level training and gameplay.

Yup. Unfortunately this is a "loyalty mission" that comes at around the half way point of the game, not at the very beginning. So if this video is anything to go by, the game will lead you by the nose the whole time and will never ever shut up about it.
From a post on reddit, for what it's worth:

"according to a tweet from the lead dev, this mission is kinda hand holdy because its introducing new mechanics for the game."

Ah...so you mean it's shit?

Well, I'm sure this is going to set the game back a few months, seeing how they are going to have t ore-create everything they had in place already.

Personally, never been a big fan of Unity, its getting better, but its just not up there with the big boys yet.
Yup, the only good thing about switching engines is that... HOPEFULLY they're assets were made in something normal like 3D Max or anything that can export .obj files. Then they just have to drag the parts into the new engine and rebuild the scenes. It probably wouldn't hurt to have a dandy C++ programmer present and also somebody that knows the Unreal engine backwards and forwards (there is a huge learning curve for the uninitiated ).

No way that switching to UE4 was a bad idea. I've played with the engine a little bit and it fucking amazing! I believe Unity is written in C# and Unreal is written in C++ and you can edit the code directly in the engine. With it's node based programming interface it makes it so non programmers can actually code some really amazing shit.

I noticed that they dropped the "retro" look of the walls and ceiling that they had in the demo that they released and this is MOST welcome. I found the look to be jarring at first when I played it.

It's looking good, I can't wait to play it!

Tried it, only played a few hours, because it was that boring. It has nothing new and the setting is just bad. Its sterile, doesnt even make you want to explore the map.
Gameplay is meh, controls are console infested. No thanks. Next.
I watched a few videos of guys playing the beta and I was frankly shocked at how easy the game seems? Honestly it seems like they have reversed 'The Division' game mechanics and made YOU the bullet sponge and the enemy paper thin. This game seems so casual that it should almost play itself? Is there ANY challenge to this game at all? Is this what people want to play nowadays? It just really confused me more than anything. I'm sure that some people will enjoy it but, for me personally, I can't see myself going anywhere near this; It just seems like it would be wasted time *shrug*.

I wasn't planning on watching this video but after seeing all the bitterness in this thread, I had to see what the deal is. Is the game really total crap, or is it just people being whiny "get off my lawn" old folks? Looks like about 90% of the latter to me. The jury's still out for me on the game, but the complaints in this thread are ridiculous IMO. That's the best you guys could do?
"It looks like shit."
"It plays like shit."

Personally I like some story and build up and little issues to overcome between individual or couple helps. Make it more relatable for me.
If I wanted my porn to be relatable to me, it would have to show the woman totally disgusted and slapping the guy across the face as he crys because he can't perform.
