In the show 'Space: Above and Beyond' Ray Butts plays Johnny Cash's - 'Burning Ring of Fire' as he was pulled into a black hole at the end.

Personally, i'd rather be listening to David Hasselhoff's rendition of 'Hooked On a Feeling' BUT, to each they're own

The problem with having a pet is that they become part of the family and when they pass it's almost as painful. The sad part is I don't think that they ever realize how much joy they bring into your life.

    Sorry for your loss Blue.

Btw, speaking of consoles, I saw something really surprising at my local supermarket today.

Sega Genesis consoles. On sale. For 35 bucks.

They were really small form factors, but still compatible with all Genesis cartridges, come with 2 wireless controllers and EIGHTY games built in. And some pretty damn good games too, Streets of Rage series, Sonic, Ecco and a few others that were considered to be the top of the class.

I was actually tempted to buy one just for nostalgia's sake.

Ditto I saw one at a Walgreens and grabbed it in a total impulse buyer moment and looked at the list of games and saw: Decap Attack! Yes, i'm not ashamed to say that I whimpered a little to myself and put it back on the shelf. Decap Attack almost got me, fun game

Ahh, NOW I can FINALLY live my virtual dream, to be a true SPACE JANITOR!

    IMAGINE!:

*Walking the halls of a battle cruiser with my trusty Turbo Plunger 3000 in hand, talking to an older, retiring janitor as we head for the toilets*

I've played Mass Effect 1, twice, loved it both times: the music, the story, the atmosphere - brilliant. My tastes nowadays are to play 3rd person games with the controller: age, proximity to a couch, something else. Due to this lack of controller on the PC versions, I've yet to get around to Mass Effects 2 & 3. I think Gamefly currently has the trilogy with all the DLC etc for 20, Origin has done a similar deal before as well. Very tempting, but the stubborn refusal of BioWare to add in controller support, when by all accounts the games have about 90% of the code already in, just really rankles me.

That a company the size of EA, or Bioware can't assign an intern or junior developer to do the, at a max, weeks worth of work to wire in the remaining code to have full controller support on the PC is unbelievable to the point that the only logical reason is that neither *wants* to, for whatever arrogant reason or other. That kind of attitude, on one of their flagship brands no less, I find hard to pay for, so for now I'm not.

As far as using a controller, just download 'Xpadder'. You've probably already heard of this but, all it does is make it so you can map whatever keys you want to your controller. It works good, I used it for all the ME games. ME1 controls are a bit different than the other 2 games but the same configuration works for ME2 and 3.
