I suppose. I still liked both Boxleitner and Scoggins.

Where did you get this information about what the original story/intention was? Not that I am particularly doubting you, just wondering if there is some good reading to be had. Also, do you know if Sinclair was supposed to get involved with Delenn as Sheridan did?

Google it, it's out there from JMS.

Anything but the vaccine (from FB or somewhere):

Anti-vaxxer 1: I just bought a nebulizer to have on hand. I like to be prepared, though I do not know what to actually use in it. I've heard people nebulizing 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide but if it ever came to it I would call my doctor. I believe Budesonide is what is recommended (Correct me if I'm wrong!)

Anti-vaxxer 2 (responding): You can find Mercola's 14 minute precise explanation of this on Bitchute quite easily. He explains how to make the saline solution of the hydrogen peroxide. I personally will probably use Briotech which is hypochlorous acid in saline, per Dr Kinghardt's recommendation. Some people are putting a drop of Lugol's iodine into the mix.
Crazy. As long as they don't go to the hospital, I guess they can do what they like.
Wow

Bill Burr Tackles Hoax COVID Cures https://youtu.be/PURcnX7ARps?t=299 so true.

On Project Veritas supposedly "exposing" the COVID vaccines as being dangerous or ineffective, and related dumbness. Trae Crowder Pick Up The Pace

Wants hydrogen peroxide in his lungs ( which will unsurprisingly put him at risk of death, or at the very least, wreck his lungs ) and don't want an innocuous jab in his body?

If it smells like DRM, looks like DRM, acts like DRM, and disappears when the game is cracked, it's DRM.

Anything else is empty rhetoric.

I find it rather strange that the first thing my prehistoric i7 CPU can't run is not a modern graphics heavy shooter, but rather a minor graphical update to a 21 year old game.

"minor graphical update"?!? They replaced every old sprite and background with completely 3D assets and lighting! That's a staggering amount of work done by the studio, and a whole lot of polygons, textures, and shaders to push around.

Minor relative to what's being done nowadays in other games. The base code is still the same, just press G while playing, you'll see. So there's no reason to have AVX be a requirement for the base code, especially when the game is super light on CPUs even with the 3d mode enabled. It's just stupid.

I think we're still mid-scandal, I don't think we're quite after it yet. Everything they're doing, including this release, feels like a bribe to look past their bullshit more than an attempt to redeem themselves, too. Never thought a gaming company could manage it, even as hard as EA has tried, but I think I'd feel dirty if I bought anything Blizzard was doing right now.

D2R was in development way before the scandal hit so the bribe hypothesis sounds spurious to me.

Offline characters? The heck, are they storing offline characters online with that remaster?

That would massively suck and instantly make me skip that game forever.

I'd like offline characters not able to be hacked myself but I guess that makes too much sense.

Why? Offline characters are offline and can not be taken online so hack away to your heart's content I'd say. Who cares? It's like cheating in single player. Why would anyone care what somebody else does to themselves as long as it does not affect anyone else?

This^^, it's no one's business, but my own, what I do with my single player experience. I love to mod and tinker to my heart's content. Playing MP is another entirely different and completely unrelated matter.

UPDATE: I got confirmation from a friend that the files for offline characters are kept locally and can be overwritten with a save file from the older non-remaster game successfully to resume your game in D2R.

Welp, guess I overreacted. *shrugs*

That kids and computers article puzzles me... At age 4 I could navigate folders, files and programs on DOS after someone told me the basic exploration commands ( dir, cd, look for .exe files for programs etc ).

This isn't rocket science. All you need is a curiosity to explore and the tendency to want to push on all the buttons and functions to see what they can do. And that's exactly what the kids do with an app on a phone, they push all the buttons, navigate the UI using the basic exploration commands ( touch, long touch, back, etc ) to figure out what does what. It's the exact same process.

All UI exploration is basically the same thing. Click/touch everywhere, follow all the links, explore and figure out what it all does and what it contains.

Just sit the kids in front of a computer with file explorer running and search functions disabled and let them roam the directory structures after you taught them the basic exploration commands ( click, double click, right click, look for .exe files for programs, each file type has a separate function, etc ). They'll get it in no time at all. There's no reason they wouldn't.

TAA looks way better to me than DLAA. DLAA just makes the image blurry, AND uses more frames to do it. Seems like a waste of time.

Had the same impression. Could be a case of good TAA implementation VS bad DLAA/DLSS.

The developers are in control of the output sharpness wise when implementing DLSS/DLAA. Seems like they chose blurrier settings than TAA for DLSS/DLAA for some reason.

I really wish they'd just make those hidden DLSS settings available for tweaking in the game graphics options and be done with it.

Yeah.. I'd agree. I'm pretty sure SSDs are current gen, not next gen.

Xbox SX's internal SSD is about as fast as a fast PCIe3 4x Nvme SSD ( ~3-4GB/s ), it's a PCIe4 2x Nvme SSDé

PS5's is around 5.5GB/s, so the speed of a slow PCIe4 4x Nvme SSD.

Not exactly groundbreaking. And anyone pretending the compression/decompression thingy won't come to PC is delusional. RDNA2 and RTX 3000's series already have this decompression thingy and ready for compressed content for "more effective bandwidth".

Or Surfshark. Been with them for 2 years now, excellent speed with Wireguard, privacy is outside five eyes and co. ( registered/based in British Virgin Islands ).

The only caveat is they added marketing for their products to their client lately, other than that, I really have no bad things to say about the service.
