Lol, Texas' grid can't even handle seasonal weather, much less the influx of new business and bitcoin mining.

No grid can handle bitcoin. Not when its power consumption trend is consistently exponential ( 2x+ every year ) and is on course to use ALL the energy the WORLD produces by 2028.

That Ponzi scheme is doomed.

Keep a spare fob battery in your car, and a screwdriver tool on your Keychain so you can change it.
Actually, the system is smart enough it warns me when the battery in the fob is getting low. I've replaced it three or four times now.

In this day and age it should be rechargeable.

Preferably using a socket in the car itself, car warns you, you simply put it in the socket, it charges wirelessly and warns you again when it's full.

But yeah, older model, understandable.

Clickbait title.

Real story is: "An active metabolite of vitamin D—(not the over-the-counter version) — is involved in shutting down inflammation, which could potentially be beneficial in patients with severe COVID-19."

Instead of using MSI Afterburner, consider Open Hardware Monitor.

More of a replacement to HWinfo. It can't do a quarter of what you can with Afterburner + Riva Tuner.

It's also a pig that requires super gaming rig specs to shuttle forwards or backwards at anything other than a crawl.

I guess an i7-8700 + 1060 6GB is a "super gaming rig" then.

Seriously, I use OBS frequently for various tasks and it has never bogged down my computer. Depends what you do with it, how you use it, maybe?

*****

And finally I'd add CheatEngine to that list, a must have, even sometimes when you don't cheat.

On the same subject, Activision's board of directors has come out in favor of Kotick, declaring that it: "remains confident that Bobby Kotick appropriately addressed workplace issues brought to his attention."

Source/link to the official press release ( In case you distrust WCCFTECH on this one, I 100% understand that ).

This reminds me of Steam's history. Steam initially were the bad DRM guys with "outrageous" spying and tracking built into Steam... well, until the day they started having those flash(y) sales. All of a sudden Steam became gamers' best buddy because it gave them games for cheap. DRM and spying was no longer an issue.

Hmmm no, Steam is still a steamy pile of poop AFAIC. And yes, UWP is utter crap too, same for gamepass.

"An official industry emulation approach would require long-term online support to offer game files and to possibly check if the user has the right to access them."

Oh great... DRM in emulation now when your "stated goal" is history preservation? Really MS?

Haven't used a trainer in more than a decade ever since I put my hands on memory scanners like Cheat Engine.

You either find the values yourself or when that fails you find a cheat table for the game somewhere online.

As long as the sociopath continues raking them billions, the board of directors and shareholders don't care.

And socio/psychopaths are the best at this capitalism game because they have zero empathy. That's why they are everywhere at the top, if not front and center like Zuck, then behind the scenes. The second best are narcissists and they too struggle with empathy. Both groups only see 1 thing, the numbers.

Numbers go up, good, numbers go down, bad. That's the "morality" of socio/psychopaths and the reward/punishment system of narcissists.

Doesn't matter to them if people in the company/society have better standards of livings when numbers go down or worse when numbers go up.

It never even begins to register into their mind. They don't care at all.

Says a lot about an economic system when it rewards the worst of behaviors and punishes best.

Maybe we should have an economic system that does the opposite?

It'll be interesting to see if Intel Arc GPUs will be available in any large quantities, it may be the thing that finally drives prices back down. Assuming they are still on track for a release in Jan 2022

Doubtful seeing as it seems to be manufactured by an already overburdened TSMC.

Had it been manufactured in Intel fabs, maybe they could've flooded the market, but not if it's manufactured at TSMC.

No it's not. Just looked AGAIN for my NVIDIA CARD. *winks*

Some people I swear...

Hoping they fixed the chroma subsampling bug ( stuck at YCbCr422 ) I had with 496.49 that had me rollback to 472.12.

Guess I'm gonna wait...
