The kids want to play this with me after watching Dad of Light. I'm kind of reticent to get 3 copies for $60, then have to pay $13 per month per person on top of that.

Anything similar to this that's cheaper?

There's tonnes of free mmo's on mobile. Go get the nox player get a gmail account and play free 2 play rpg's until your hearts content. I'm sure your kid can find something he likes. It will save you a tonne of money.

And once again we see the GOP is anti-worker. Yet the majority of their base are those selfsame idiots who continually vote against their own self-interest. Hence the old saying, 'There are two kinds of conservatives. The rich and the stupid. Most of them aren't rich.'

I got news for ya, it's not just conservatives. Anyone who's voting for democrats or repubs is pretty much ignorant capitalist democracy is a sham anyway.

I'd actually suggest hunting down the book of vignettes that the author wrote for the game. There's some achingly beautiful writing there.

All I could find when I googled was this, is this it?

Gaming has evolved past this simpleton shit. Pass.

Gaming has "evolved"? Gaming has been on a big downward spiral since late 2002-2004, where we now have First person shooter season(tm), racing season(tm), and MOBA season(tm).

While graphics have improved I'll give you that. Gameplay has been held back for almost 20 years ever since Halo 1 and regenerating health.

Everyone and their mother has been completely undermining game ownership, thanks to morons giving money and making f2p games viable. DRM has become super intrusive and now we have accounts and separate launchers everywhere.

Doom Eternal will most likely ship with bethesda's launcher, a form of always online drm.

This may be the stupidest post ever on Blues.

Son, buy a used car lately? You expect us to only buy new and hang onto it forever?

Why wouldn't guys like that think they can eventually get what they want? Corporations have won the copyright extension battle every time for the last 100 years, it's guys like that basically taking away our rights to own our own shit and they are legion in the business world. Whether we like it or not we are under attack by these morons.

Valve and Activision has successfully moved the overton window and got most gamers buying drm infected games already, diablo 3 has single player lag and the SP campaign requires an internet connection.

Why the fuck wouldn't guys like that think they can eventually take away everyones rights when everyone is so stupid about their purchases on our planet?

We've lost our rights to own our own culture and nobody cares as red vs blue would say.

Steam launched as platform for distributing Valve patches.

No steam launched as a way to take software control out of gamers hands, it was full blown DRM. Using the world "platform" is corporate propaganda. The reason why level editors and modding has been curtailed was pioneered by Gabe newell. He taught everyone the public is stupid enough to accept walled gardens if you wrap it around a popular game to trojan horse your drm into existence.

I don't doubt that streaming will happen. It solves a lot of problems for game publishers like cheating and piracy. Question is, when will we have a critical mass of gamers with synchronous 100mbps connections who would be willing to support such a model? Will EA and ActiBlizz be willing to make all their games available for $15 per month?

Man gamers are such corporate ball lickers the last 20 years has seen publishers basically steal videogame software and everyone can't wait to bend over even further to get fucked.

Except you don't really get the game for free, they control the software, else you would get a complete copy of the game. No modding, no rocket arena, etc. All the cool shit I got into PC gaming for has been destroyed.

From what I googled you're SOL and have to try contacting Bethesda. Not worth it over $5 if you like the game.

Not even worth $5, the reality is quake has been ruined by this new generation of idiots spending money on fucking cosmetics. The fact that EPIC is now raking in billions from cosmetics in a game kids don't even own is fucking disturbing. Proof that man evolved from monkeys.

The fact that modern micro-transactions take advantage of stupid tech illiterate kids and adults and now we've lost control of the awesome shit we had in the 90's - level editors, sdks, etc... now paired back or gone completely.

That's... moronic.

Uhh no it's not, before shit for brains like you bought corporate malware and spyware drm infested videogames. We had complete software unchained form the corporate hivemind and we did what we wanted to it because you know we paid for it.. therefore we own it.

Idiot morons that bought games that took software away from gamers control allowed Valve to basically build his little video game dictatorship because the average gamer is a fucking computer illiterate moron.

So now mandatory binding arbitrary is required to do business with many businesses in our lives, and robs Americans of their day in court. Now corporations want people to sign gag contracts that they won't speak without permission. Seems like we are heading in a direction where all people will be required to sign contracts merely to exist in the world, promising we won't say anything negative of the corporate sponsors.

You chose to worship capitalist ideology and the business community, now you get to be enslaved good and hard.

11. Re: MechWarrior Lawsuit Settled Jun 23, 2018, 10:04 Suppa7
The reality is many of the dubbed anime from the past have been superpassed. Mobile Suit gundam 00 is probably one of the best mech animes ever made. The old Macross is stale, they really have had a hard time not fucking up macross, I wasn't a fan of frontier or macross delta.

I'd rate gundam seed / Gundam 00 greater than macross at this point in anime history.

There is so much anime now that old classics aren't talked about much anymore like Evangelion or Ghost in the shell.

It's too bad GITS got worse, the first version being the best gits. They took Ghost in the shell in odd directions after the first movie. Especially with stand alone complex.

Anyone angry now kind of confuses me. Why care what happens behind the scenes? Care when it impacts the actual game.

Man you are out of touch... for the last 20 years gaming has gone to literal shit as tonnes of mouthbreathing souls have come online. Pre high speed internet we owned and controlled PC games. Once internet penetration was high enough game companies have literally stolen games and are charging for games and not giving anything back to the game community. F2P/mmo/online drm was the big plan to take control of game software away from gamers so they could exploit the stupid half of humanity for mad dollars. Now that they have gamers over a barrel thanks to the dumb half of humanity.

No level editors, sdk's, etc. Diablo 3 has fucking drm in it vs diablo 2 where it had lan and we controlled it. Same goes for starcraft 1 vs 2.

These companies have undermined game ownership to an extreme degree. There is no bottom to how worse it can get given we are already in the worst possible gaming world. The fact that people bought the marketing spin and gave over ownership of games to companies while buying items inside a game they don't own or control is fucking sad.

Games have started sucking because of the lack of ability of the gaming community to mod them. MTX incentivizes a gaming world where you get fed the developers vision of what a game is and can't modify it.

IT's a far cry from the gaming golden age from 1992 to about 2001. Before technology illiterate people came online on mass.

The fact that there are now single player gacha games where you fucking gamble to get in game items is fucking maddening.

Let's be real here, america is a fucked up country with a fucked people. A hyper predatory society that gives no fucks about anyone but themselves.

When you treat people like dogshit and have no social services to dial down the level of stress and exploitation in society school shootings are the result.

Canada is hardly any better with the liberals and conservatives mimicing the policies of the republicans and democrats down south. Canada hasn't had any real social service leanings since the 1970's. To call canada socialist means you don't really know much about canada at all. All the OECD stats point to canada being little america with a slightly better healthcare system if you are poor/working class.

You would think that Activision would take a hint about such issues, but no, they blindly go about their way....

Uhh everyone bought into games bicycle chained to computers across the internet, when that happened with the rise of mmo's, everything afterward was a downward slide. To have fucking diablo 3 have online drm in it is sickening enough.

If you paid for any mmo or steam infected game this is the end result.
