and the alternative is... Biden
You know something is very broken when "the greatest nation on earth" with a population of 330 million can't produce better candidates than these two senile farts.

I know you are joking, but that's a really interesting question, or rather.. how many of the original kickstarters have died since then?
The original kickstarter started 8 years ago (2012-10-18).
There were 34 397 backers in the kickstarter.
Assuming only men with average age of 30, then the expected death ratio over 8 years is 1.37%, which results in 471 deaths.
1 year later the total pledge amount was $23M, and assuming $60 per person then there were around 380 000 backers.
Expected deaths for 7 years: 1.24% => 4700 dead of those that bought in the first year.
The numbers of course change drastically by the age and gender distribution, but I think this would be a ballpark number.
There are now 2 835 000 backers according to the star citizen funding page. Still assuming average age of 30, then the annual deaths should be 0.15%, 4250 per year or 350 per month.

I have a 38" 21:9 with a slight curve (3840x1600), and it is friggin awesome.
It hits my sweetspot for having enough vertical resolution (I use it for programming work when I work from home) and wide enough for 2 side-by-side windows. The immersion when gaming is great.

Unsurprisingly the title is misleading... if you read the article then you discover a better title would be

Windows 10's built-in antivirus can now be used to download files which will be scanned by the antivirus

to quote the article:
Defender will still scan files download through this method, so in theory it should still protect against malware. And secondly, this would need to be initiated by a local user.

i.e. this is clickbait trash.

I would not call this "advice on judging people" and it's not like PewDiePie doesn't know what it is like to be judged himself...
I actually watched the PDP video and he isn't criticising Joe Rogan too much.

I didn't know that Trump had special protections, but that does sound probable.
Stock trades are not anonymous but at any moment there are billions of outstanding shorts just for Tesla so if you are not too greedy and plan ahead then I'm sure it's possible to get away with it. Especially since they could have dumped a lot of other stocks at the same time using the other accounts to cover their tracks.

It's amazing that they only made $120 000 from this, I would think that they could have sold the access to Trump's account for 10 times that. Imagine the havoc it could have caused.
Or they could just have bought short contracts for Tesla stock and tweeted some doom and gloom on Elon's account. That would have made them millions.

Thanks Fion, I played this game for a few hours and liked the setting very much, but stopped playing when I was repeatedly and thoroughly beaten in fights. I will give the game another try to see if my morale increases with some more beatings

Ooohh... yes please !
I played through all the Crysis games, but didn't really like the later installments as they were pretty much on rails. I loved however the first two.
The only problem I have with this is that it will be available on current gen consoles including the Switch, which unfortunately indicates that they will not go ham with state-of-the-art graphics.

If HP's new headset features even higher resolution, or faster Hz, then it's outpacing current generation hardware. That's what the Index did last summer.

With the new announcement of DLSS 2.0 then we can hope that current gen cards can keep up with the next gen HMD's. If the new headsets have better FOV then the AI rendering techniques can be used to fill the peripheral vision where less precise rendering is required since lens distortion is blurring things a bit anyway.

Its also still horribly bugged, especially in case of netcode and sound. Not to mention its blatant pay to win scheme.

It definitely has it's share of bugs, but not game breaking in my opinion. The server stability has taken a dive after the popularity surge but is stabilizing I think.

The next patch is rumored to be implementing Steam audio which would be fantastic since audio plays a major role in the game.

Of course the pay-to-win aspect has been discussed to death but I personally have experienced the game both as standard edition and EOD, I am firmly in the camp of it not being pay to win. With the abundance of loot now it is easier than ever to get rich by just doing scav runs and just buy what you want from the flea market. The benefits of the gamma container are definitely good but hardly anything that allows you to "win" (whatever that means in this game)

Another day, another bullshit Windows 10 article.
To save you a click, the security update works fine.
Some users had the installation of the patch fail, pretty much like any other patch. Oh, and you can rectify it by installing the patch manually.

This is actually a really good idea, to have one tool for tweaking all your games. Too many hours have been spent searching for obscure config entries to make some games playable, especially if you have some hardware that is out of the ordinary. I am now playing on a 38" 21:9 ultrawide which is not always supported optimally for older games, where this tool can hopefully help out.
