Hey guys - just a quick update here. I have one possible option to stay with the friend of a friend for one month only. Putting stuff (PC included) in storage. Anxiety and depression suck, along with chronic physical illness. Freaked out about even applying to jobs. (While I understand it's sometimes well-intentioned, any potential calls to "suck it up", would be at the very least, unhelpful.)
Rooming house option is out. Things are extremely expensive, housing included. Have family member but we're estranged from each other. Without getting too much into this.
Anywho, still alive - for better or worse, and will get back to gaming if and when I can.

Let me get this right, the airlines are mad that you paid for a flight you never took.
,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,..,.,A notice from Huy Fong posted to a wholesale food distribution site shared, “Currently, due to weather conditions affecting the quality of chili peppers, we now face a more severe shortage of chili.”Other sriracha makers don’t care about the quality peppers.v

It honestly reminded me more of shooters like AVP 3 with those executions and smaller enemy counts. Which is why it kind of bugs me when people rip DOOM 3 so hard for "not being DOOM", I actually enjoyed that it was different and not some poor imitation of old.
So glad they ditched it for a real Doom game!
Back to the screenshots, from what we've seen over the years, I personally don't feel like this DOOM game would've been great, but it's still interesting to see what they had in the works before it became just full-on Bethesda with an id Software logo on it. RIP old id...
I didn't like Doom3, but Doom2016 and Doom Eternal don't really feel like "Doom" did either (although they were awesome). They felt more like Quake with a Doom skin. Although Doom3 was closer to what they initially set out to do with the original Doom (it was going to be more story/horror focus; until Romero convinced everyone to make it an arcade-y shooter). Civvie11's right though, if you're going to do a FPS you better %%%%ing get the shotgun/super shotgun right.
I would honest-to-God love, Love, LOVE a total reimaging/reboot of Quake 1 using the Doom Eternal tech (but I also want ability to make and play 3rd party maps, even if they were "simpler" than the core game's maps).
