I can see muddy textures all over that scene! Look at that model, it's got the uncanny valley written all over it!

Nah. Borderlands was Hellgate London on steroids. It was pseudo-RPG-ish nonsense with a shoddy weapon system slapped on top. That never works well.
Rage is first and foremost a first-person shooter. It's not trying to be "Diablo with guns" or any such poop. It's more like Doom with static weapon upgrades from Dead Space. And more open spaces. And a "lite" quest system.

Empathy is a complete fucking waste of time. You know what I do when somebody tells me "sad" news? I tell them, "that's a bummer, dude." And that's that.
