News Comments > Mass Effect: Andromeda Single-player Support Ends

It's telling that EA's decision to pull out of Mass Effect Andromeda less than 6 months post release, and yet Hello Games continues to support No Man's Sky..

Unfortunately, from the forums, it seems like NMS "support" has doubled the number of bugs with the latest patch--couldn't buy that one, either. I'm thinking support for that one will end soon as well--they'd be constantly chasing their tails by releasing substantial game patches that keep adding bugs as well as content--that won't work out for them, I'm afraid.

Nobody, but nobody comes close to CDPR in game support--it's not even close, CDProjekt is so far ahead. As is well known, they support their games years into the future, and as a result those games continue to bring in nice revenue streams years after they originally ship. EA, and other companies--simply haven't the imagination to figure out how to do that. At EA, "serve the customer" is out--"fleece the customer" is in. You can easily discern the companies that are staffed with actual people who play games on their own computers (that they put together themselves) and companies like EA who look for nothing but the quick $.

EA systematically ruined the Dragon's Age franchise by managing to destroy everything about it that made the Origins game a lot of fun, and Inquisition, supposedly on a par with Witcher 3 prior to shipping, looked like a child's coloring book compared to the Mona Lisa, considering the highly professional job CDPR did with Witcher 3.

I didn't purchase Andromeda or Inquisition--glad I didn't! The Demo for DA:I was horrible--but I did conclude it was indeed representative of the game. Just couldn't bring myself to waste the money. I'd much rather buy 20-30 year-old games at GOG for ~$2.49 than EA stuff today.

Six month's support is *horrifically* bad. I shall remember this for the future, no question about it.

Nobody does ? I'm sure blizzard has something to say about that.

Yeah I used Razer a bit but the mice kept dying out way too early. I switched to the Sensei Steelseries and loved it for ages now. best mouse and I have tried loads and once in a while if my right hand wrist starts acting up I can switch to left handed since its an ambi mouse. win/win

I've bought different versions of the Sensei mouse for years, best mouse. (whatever was cheaper I don't give a fuck if my mouse has a d3 logo or a cs:go logo on it, the jew in me takes over)(no I'm not jewish, sorry if I offended any jews)

What I don't understand is all this 3,500 CPI to 12k ??? Don't all the pro's set their CPI to like 800 in most FPS games? What's the point of these insane numbers?

How about we punish people who admit to not putting their best effort into winning in ranked matches? If you want to play casually, go play Quick Play. If you can't play with decent people in Quick Play and still want to play casually, then, well, too bad. Ranked matches in any game should be reserved for people whose driving desire is to win, not to have fun fucking around.

Agreed.

But you can report them for that behaviour within the current system, just type within the comments section what they were or were not doing. I've done it several times.

Report!,it's blizzy who made this pos manga and there report system is just as good as in world of warcraft....say none

Hey guys, guess who wrote this -
“The more funds we can raise in the pre-launch phase, the more we can invest in additional content (more ships, characters etc.) and perhaps more importantly we can apply greater number of resources to the various tasks to ensure we deliver the full functionality sooner rather than later.”
- written in September 2013

Or this from October 2012 -
"We’re already one year in - another two years puts us at 3 total which is ideal. Any more and things would begin to get stale."

Any guesses who it was?

Trump tweets?

They do sound very presidential.

I like what Michael Che said after being harranged on social media for saying "Boston is “the most racist city” he’s ever been to."
Che said he never apologizes for his language or controversial statements because “I’m just trying to be more presidential.”

lol

For those keeping count, latest 7 months funding:

August 2016: $4,200,000.00
September 2016: $2,100,000.00
October 2016: $5,000,000.00
November 2016: $7,750,000.00
December 2016: $3,000,000.00
January 2017: $1,750,000.00
February 2017: $1,900,000.00

So they are incentivized to drag out development as long as possible, because as soon as the game is finished, that unexplainable cash flow stops or subsides.

I am not like most of the people on these boards, I don't give a shit about the rich idiots who keep pouring money into this game. It's not my money. As long as the money keeps going into make this a better game, I can keep waiting.

if you actually think that money is going to "make this a better game" you are even more of an idiot than those rich idiots

Thanks for snipping out the rest of my post which touched on the idiots like you who think they know it all

DEREK SMART...

You know, a lot of people hate Derek Smart because he's an arrogant tit sometimes but he's been calling this dumpster fire for what it is for a while now, even enduring death threats, etc to do it. And he's been right so much it's almost scary. You have to give the guy some credit for that.

What? He's been so right that he called they would implode and shut down like 2 years ago? and then 1 year ago? What is he saying now? that they will implode this year? or is it next year?

Obviously I'm sure Roberts is wasting some of the money on bad decisions but I am not going to assume I know how much really is wasted and how much is properly spent. I'll leave that the the armchair developers who always know better than the people actually making the game.
