You guys would definitely be surprised. I did Hour of Code at a nearby school and the teacher showed me a vid of a class project using Minecraft. They created a huge, historic building with an impressive amount of detail. The class learned cooperation, software skills, programming, persistence, and on and on... I'm sure they could have created a tooth stick model or something as well, but Minecraft really held up as a medium for them to accomplish that feat. I definitely don't think it's for every student or class, but given the right mix I think it works great!
