This is the business model of today: Put a dumbass with a business degree, no common sense and no experience in charge... yea that's it- no way it can fail!!

I finished it & I was not disappointed. My expectations were not high going in given all it's been through in development.

It's only once a year, don't worry about it.

So they admit the game needs to be completely redone - everyone who already bought the game will get the fixed version right?

I'm just critical of fanboys who feel like the developers OWE them something, really - if you don't like the game, don't buy it. It's not like and X-COM fps has never been done before (x-com enforcer) which I believe also radically changed gameplay mechanics as well as in a time line separate to that established by the first four games.

So, yea, people who are all like "ZOOOMGZZZZ!!! WTF IS 2K DOING TO MY BELOVED FRANCISE?!?!?!" kind of leave me scratching my head.

I'm looking forward to this game. Never played the originals so I'm looking at this game thru a different set of glasses I guess, but it looks really interesting to me. I'm sure if it does well and generates $$$ (which being a fps based game it probably will) they might used the funds to continue the franchise and maybe you'll get the strategy game you want, buuuut y'know I got a feeling that even if they do that they'll still piss off some fans because they still didn't do it the way they wanted - or because it was too similar to the originals - But in the end they're just a company out to make a quick buck - Whatever - 2K's got my money when this game streets.
