People who play Rock Band style games these days are the folks who bought the Nintendo Wii and are way behind the times.

Right, and if there had been armed people at that concert hall maybe it wouldn't have been a bloodbath because the terrorists would have rightfully had their lives ended before they got going. Sounds good to me.

Fucking CNN: "There is no credible or specific threat in the United States" NO FUCKING SHIT, a Heavy Metal Concert in PARIS was attacked. A soccer/football game was attacked, why the fuck would it have anything to do with us?!?

The battery compartment has a slide switch that pops it off? Not sure if it was always that way but definitely not hard to take off. Getting the batteries out definitely takes a little more force if you don't push the tabs in the proper direction.
I've been using the gamepad to control windows outside of the Steam BPM and it works flawlessly so I'm not anticipating any trouble playing Civ5 or an RTS. Haven't decided if I like it set as trackball or mouse control yet but its perfectly accurate in either mode. I will definitely configure Civ5 later and let you know how it works out.

I got one of the early pre-order Alienware Steam Machines a month ago, so have been playing around with it for a while now... The controller took me a fair bit of getting used to, but once I did, damn it works well! Especially for games expecting a mouse... In ones expecting an Xbox controller, it can be kind of weird, with the right trackpad emulating a stick... But, I mostly got used to that, too... But, it's far more natural when it's replacing a mouse...

I hope Blizzard is going to let existing owners download the updated versions for free.

Whoever wrote this obviously wasn't even the tiniest bit familiar with what they were talking about, and that's a bit disheartening.

oops! i typed the wrong thing, you got me. but if you've got it in your head that your dick simply must be swung around because of this important video games stuff that you have internalized, then carry on.
Thanks for the suggestion but I'll keep my dick in my pants. You don't want me to swing it around cuz it would end up in a very messy beheading if I cockslapped you!![]()
this is what they call: overcompensating
No. It's called having a fucking wrecking ball in yer pants!![]()

The thing with ARs is that you don't have to use them, but it certainly may make the journey easier if you do use them. I only ever had 2 people equipped with them. Others I kept well-rounded, so my squad was using a wide assortment of weapons, such as miniguns, melee weapons, sub-machine guns, energy weapons, and a sniper rifle. There is an energy weapon you can get, if you do the right steps, that is far more powerful than any AR in the game.

I quite enjoyed it, but never finished it. Once I finally made it to Hollywood after ~ 60 hours, and realized it was a monstrously massive place with tons of factions and inter-connected quests, I just gave up. I'm already not a fan of huge cities in RPGs with too much stuff to do at once, and getting me to another such city 60 hours in really doesn't tickle my funny bone. (Pillars of Eternity had the exact same problem for me.)
However, up until that point I thought it was an excellent game. Hopefully they've done some balancing with regards to the skills. It seemed fine in the first area, but once you got to Cali, 95% of all skill checks were at 10+ difficulty, which was ridiculous.

I won't be downloading the free copy of Broken Age just on principle. Too bad PS+ isn't getting good games vs garbage like that.

It's really not that weird if you think about it.
