Everything I'm hearing about Linux is that it's busy ripping off everything that made Windows a pain in the ass and importing none of the good shit.
Well it sounds like you don't even know what Linux is.
Linux isn't one OS, hell it's not even an OS by itself. It's a collection of software with a kernel.. There are hundreds of distributions as heavy or light weight as you want.. Not one company or entity owns it.. If you don't like how one distribution does things you can switch to another. Google made their own OS (Android) around the Linux Kernel.
This does complicate gaming a bit though...

EA way late to the party again. The base isn't asking for a MOBA from EA and it will flop, not because of EA, but because the MOBA sector is already spoken for, they are not asking for another.

A guy I've never heard of who may have burned some bridges at Ubisoft. And for some reason he's surprised they don't have a farewell float and parade for him when he's fired.

I'm not sure if I just didn't notice or was there no mention of "id Software" in the trailer? I know Bethesda bought all the rights to id titles, but it just seems wrong with no id Software logo somewhere.
It would be funny as hell if it used Unreal Engine instead of any implementation of id Tech
Also, didn't Carmack or some other id guy say some time ago that they will not outsource any of their IPs and work on their titles in-house only from now on?

Not a fan of pay to play....but this will be the first one since opening weekend of City of Heroes for me...
/watched video: um....WOW!
The actual game looks nothing like the video, there are a few leaked gameplay videos floating around, you're looking at a mocked up marketing video. I guess reactions like that justify the expenses and lengths they go to for these things though. Show people some visual whoopwhoop and they're ready to commit.

This is great. So it turns out the next DLC was just released in Europe on PSN. Four multiplayer maps for around $8. It takes balls to do that when the playerbase is so miniscule it will only fracture it even further. The same thing happened to AvP3.

The game is mediocre at best.
It's only saving grace, and the only real reason to play the game, "The Foundry" isn't even implemented yet.
For those who haven't read a damn thing about the game, "The Foundry" is an editing tool that will allow DM's to create their own dungeons and story's for other people to play through.
That is the only thing I can see giving this game any longevity and it's not even ready yet.

Man I knew it was bad with casual users but that bad? Wow. Ironically most of the enthusiasts seem to have stayed with Windows 7 or figured out how to disable Dumbtro and made peace with Windows 8. I guess casual users just didn't find it very desirable, certainly not enough to stop seeking the Apple brand.

Again, people sitting around swearing they'll never give up their tower are as absurd as people that swore they preferred closet-sized computers. Just because you're too much of a Luddite to embrace change doesn't mean the market won't force you to.
I don't know if people that fight this are stupid, don't look at history, think that there are more people like them that actually are, or are just so short-sighted that they fail to understand that the technology and usefulness of one form factor will eventually equal that of others.
