You're correct. Their minor incremental updates are obviously too much work to port.

Ok, the separate, simultaneous output for two game users is pretty damn cool. I'd like to understand how that works.
That's nothing new. 3D LG sets have had it for a while. Basically you need different glasses (or pull your own apart) so that one person sees only the left field and the other only the right. The software in the set takes your typical splitscreen view and e.g. moves top to the left field and bottom to the right. You'll get a loss of resolution but it obviously won't matter with this particular set. Did I explain it? I'm not sure. lol

If you're interested in 3D this kind of resolution is actually useful on LG passive sets since native 1080p panels lost resolution with 3D enabled, even if they had some software magic to compensate a bit.

Every time I use a system with an AMD/ATI configuration it under performs and is less stable than an Intel/Nvidia system.
I always wonder why that is. I've not had any issues with ATI/AMD since Windows 7 was first released. Back then Dirt 2 crashed pretty hard until the next driver release fixed it.

I think I'm one of the few who really enjoyed SS3. Not as good as the first 2 but still a lot of fun when played co-op. Would be hard for me not to pick this up.

The conclusion I'd have to come to is high piracy rates are directly responsible for high sales numbers!

The term AAA just means the budget is so high, if the game doesn't sell a bazzilion copies then the publisher takes a massive financial hit. I can understand why Ubi would want to move away from them.

Yeah but...no one cares how long it took because no one was really looking forward to it any more. So...no one cares what you think about it other than as a pointer to a possible mental breakdown.

The game is way over-priced on PC for how bad of a port it is. I also question the rationale of a company that would release a game that could only be profitable with 2 million units sold.
Games cost a lot to make because YOU as a game buyer DEMAND that they be made to a certain quality. That qaulity comes with a price.

Stop bitching about voice acting and animations and game will be cheaper to make.
I think that demand is coming more from the console space than PC. One of the reasons indie games are doing so well, to escape flash over substance.

Nice. Didn't think we'd see Evolution on PC. I didn't really get into previous Trials for whatever reason but played this on a (now ex) girlfriend's 360 and really got into it. I wonder what DRM scheme it will employ.

If it compromises the game at other difficulties and would take a lot of work to implement (i.e. practically making new gameplay), then I can understand, otherwise, not so much. Add a super easy low damage mode, make QTEs etc skippable (banning them might be better), have optional assists. Where's the harm? I am slightly biased though.

Exactly. Every doofus is taking this "news story" as WII-U DOESN'T SUPPORT 1080P AFTER ALL DURRR. The reality is that BiowEAr aren't doing any work at all to take advantage of the new console's better hardware, opting instead for a straight port from Xbox/PS3. I'm curious if that means it will run that 720p at a better framerate or if it will be about the same, because it will have to overcome some lack of optimization with brute force.

I think the 360 version of ME3 runs in 1080p?

Creston

Haha no way, I'd be surprised if it ran at 720p natively without upscaling.
I think it does. http://forum.beyond3d.com/showthread.php?t=46241

I don't think having an optional "easy mode" is a bad thing at all. It harms no one and at the very least it might allow disabled gamers to have more fun.

We should probably make sure this guy and Schilling don't start a business venture together, they might take down the global economy.

Schilling funding, Perlman managing, Molyneux designing, Broussard playing WoW, Paul Christoforo marketing, Derek Smart doing customer relations, and Jack Thompson on legal. OnLive's back!
There's got to be a spot for Romero there.
