2. every single streamer thinks when they die it is stream sniping or someone is cheating

Only the toxic ones that appeal to angsty tweens. Like Ninja. The ones I watch don't often drop accusations of sniping or cheating and when they do it's rather obvious.

You mean like ESP or no footstep noise with 60+ pounds of gear?

C&C4 messed up the story line and game play so bad there isn't much to recover. What are they going to do? Make it an interstellar campaign like SC2?

Please let this franchise rest in peace and make something original that isn't going to shit all over my nostalgia.

I kind of have to agree with Cutter. Not that i approve of or condone the ill treatment of game devs. But the money and working hours are better being a Dev in nearly any other sector.

Any other sector being retail and customer service? I know a coder working for a military contractor and a 3D generalist working for an aviation company. The pay, benefits, and job security blow the entertainment sector out of the water. The drawback? Uncreative and repetitive work.

That said, even if you are right, I'm not sure it means we should give Google a pass for assisting the Chinese government.

What makes Google so special to receive criticism compared to all the other American corporations that have been helping the Chinese establishment for decades, profiteering from it, and bringing all that garbage back home?

Watched a lot of console gameplay yesterday. Looks like they're giving it their best rather than phoning it in again. If Treyarch delivers a made-for-PC UI instead of just porting the mess that's the console UI they could end up with a lasting title.

Maybe EA-DICE should delay BF5 for another year.

Also, Scum is fucking terrible. I watched maybe 10 minutes of some live stream and it feels very fucking unpolished and the gameplay looks atrocious. Why is it popular? I only even heard of it because Youtube recommended it to me. >_<

It's popular because you can eat people, pee on people, and shit on people. If you buy the supporter pack you can also search your own feces for supplies. It's a sociopath's dream game.

It's fun for a bit but the upgrade system, compared to BF3/4, is going to hurt this game long-term. I thought BF5 wasn't going to have anything other than cosmetic upgrades? Guess the shareholders didn't like that idea, given all upgrades cost DiceBux in addition to grinding.

Vehicle gameplay is just bad all around.

I'll see how Beta 2 looks but it's not ready for November. It feels like they forgot they had to make a game and they're cramming like it's finals week. Post Scriptum, Insurgency, and WW3 are probably going to eat this game's market share alive after the initial launch population gets bored unless DICE pulls its head out its butt and gets in the game.

Yeah the contradiction there is pretty weird.

It seems weird until you remember that the "right" is centered around doing the bidding of selfish tycoons. Whatever the buzzword policy of the hour is, whatever parroted nonsense illogic is spouted to support it, it's only to increase the profits and the power of their tycoon patrons.

I wonder if alcohol was being served during the event? I think you only have to be like 14 or 16 to participate in the tournament qualifiers. Not sure what Florida's laws are regarding that sort of thing. I know that in some states if you are primarily a "food" establishment and get most of your income from selling food, rather than alcohol, then you don't have to get rid of alcohol for all-ages events.

That loophole applies here in FL, too. Otherwise, FL law does not allow minors in bars, nor firearms (even conceal carry). Given it was operating as a "sports bar" themed around video games, they were in that loophole area. But legal and liable aren't the same.

His lawyer is going to have a hard time making the case for negligence, given the nature of the crime and the size of the venue/event.

Hosting a competitive event at a venue that serves alcohol (literally named a bar, with neon beer signs) is unwise and a strike in the plaintiff's favor. Mixing alcohol and high-stakes winnings is just a bad idea.

Was there any licensed security hired for the event? Even just a single bouncer? If not, that's another strike. Florida is full of licensed contractors big and small who can put a warm body on scene just to cover liability. My local indoor mall brings in security for Gamestop midnight launches as a matter of protocol.

This thing has legs, but it'll settle fast followed quickly by a PR statement about changes and higher standards for future sponsored events.

I'm guessing the parents knew he was mentally unstable, but he was 24 years old so at what point to you blame them for letting him own a firearm?

Depends if he was still living with them or on his own. If he'd moved out and he didn't say anything alarming to them, I don't think they should be held any more responsible than friends or coworkers.

I'm obviously still angry about it ~12 years later.

The constant progress reset every expansion is a major reason why I don't go back.

This game was pay-to-win since the kickstarter when the bundles included ships with lifetime insurance. Never having to pay anything for a replacement ship is a huge advantage, which will be available to no one else. Though I'm sure when it launches, Chris will sneak lifetime insurance onto the cash shop when the dollar signs slow down.
