Obviously the selling point of the game is supposed to be Cliff's face, and not the game itself.

Given an award for creatively stamping out developers such as Origin Systems and Westwood Studios. A true role model for us all.

I've had about two games in the last 5 years have a crashing problem and both of them were fixed with a patch or tweak, so I don't know about this "crashes are common" thing. Same with the hardware incompatabilies, for new games that has happened to me... never? Yeah, never.

The only games I ever have issues with on the PC also have notorious problems on consoles, on the level of hard crashing the system.

My resort has been to blacklist both the developer and publisher. Haven't run into any shit games since I started doing that.

MMO players decry the monotony of WoW clone after WoW clone...then flip out when they get in an MMO and some aspect of it isn't exactly like WoW.

Actually it lies strictly with the developers. Every clown that proposes their MMO to the investors thinks that animated runs that look like everyone has a telephone pole jammed up their anus and art styles as sophisticated as high-schoolers first discovering Poser is all it takes to replicate the Warcraft behemoth.

Unfortunately it's not 1999 and it's a little more complex than hiring some basement fanboy to write 100 variations of "go kill shit!" The crap they're doing stopped working years ago. It's time for them to find a new mountain to gold rush.

That's just the unfortunate truth, whenever we get a PC designed multiplatform experience that is successful the console world tends to rape it by streamlining the shit out of anything "complex".

Horse shit isn't complex.

I have an idea. Why don't they stop making copy-paste grind trash and make actual fun games? Maybe people are tired of playing the same shitty grind they've been playing since Ultima Online.

I play a lot of alts and rarely use my 50s so I don't know how populated it is up there.

But just think of all the end-game content you're missing, like Hamidon!

And... ummm...

Hamidon!

And.... uhhh.... Hamidon?

I really don't understand why they don't develop on the PC first for all games (well, games that PC players would want) and THEN modify it for the consoles. I mean after all, most console games are taking things away not adding them.

Try making a multi-layer cake. Cut it in half and frost one half of it. Sell the frosted (PC) and unfrosted (console) versions of the cake.

Next, do it again. Only this time you frost the whole cake. Cut it in half and remove the frosting from one half. Sell the frosted (PC) and mutilated (console) versions of the cake.

I hope my silly cake analogy brought some light to 'lead platform' development. Or made you hungry.

I can honestly say you're the only person I've seen mention disliking the level. All the guys I played Reach with online loved the level.

By the way - what about those other "campaign packs"? Any release date yet? 2017 and 2022?

Swarm is anywhere from Q4 this year to Q1 2012.

I'm so glad GoG has Tyrian for free. I really don't know how else I would get an open-sourced, freeware game that has excellent Windows-native ports. The benevolence of these clowns is endless.

You know it's an ill-informed article when it starts with a wicked tricked-out bar graph. Its awesomeness should make it less obviously ignorant.

The CDs were a big downgrade. At least you could format and use the AOL floppies to back up some files. It was really crazy cool to get a free floppy disk from a company you didn't pay a dime to every month. You just don't get service like that anymore...
