Since I don't have any VR hardware I always did custom nvidia driver installs to un-select the two 3Dvision driver files when doing updates. So making them separate for VR owners just simplifies things for most people. Not sure what it will take to make VR become mainstream, maybe some kind of monitor display that you don't have to wear on your head?

that's the best post I ever read Laugh absolutely unbelievable.

I'm gonna send a screenshot of this to nVidia marketing department.

Maybe by next-gen they can drop ray-tracing & all will be well...let's get back to doing something that makes games run & look good.

not sure I follow you. 3D makes any game look 10 times better. on the modern titles like gta5, witcher3, tomb raider etc without 3D it looks like you just turned the graphics off...

liberals? conservatives? some of you are mixed up. the Loyal Order of Orange is the governing body of Canada, not the Parliament, although said parliament is certainly an extension - some would say a mirrored image - of the Orange Halls.

I'm not trolling, just telling it like it is. "The world" doesn't love that retarded rich boy, only plebs and idiots do.

How can anyone be jealous of a rich boy, lol? That's gotta suck, not being a part of the real world. I much prefer having become rich as an adult and now not being a stupid fucking cunt.

Nobody gives half a flying fuck about Canada though. It could literally disappear from the map tomorrow morning and nobody would notice for a while. At some point, retards would start wondering what kind of socks Troudeau is wearing today, I guess, then word would get around that Canada is missing.

And thanks for that info about the Orange Order Mr. Huron, just checked it up on Wikipedia. John A. Macdonald ( first Canadian PM and founding member of the Confederation, he was pretty much the architect )

This is a common misconception. He was not. He was merely, believe it or not, the most politically correct and publicly presentable man of his gang.

The leg work of the Confederation can be properly attributed to George Brown, famous for his "isn't it wonderful? french-canadianism entirely extinguished!" quote that he wrote to celebrate his fine work in 1867.

Cutter here is what you call an Orangeman. In fact, Canada was founded by a fascist organization called the Loyal Order of Orange. They have organized the assimilation of the french-canadians through various means such as outlawing French schools outside of Québec, as well as the attempts to destroy native-american cultures coast to coast. You have never heard about the Loyal Order of Orange, but you have certainly heard of their close-knit buddies, the KKK - these two groups are virtually indistinguishable. Every single "father of the Canadian Confederation" was an Orangeman, and for 200 years, up to 1/3 of Canadians were officially registered Orangemen. Every single major Canadian city (outside Québec of course) has been stepped on by gigantic KKK rallies during decades.

Did I mention fuck you Cutter and fuck Canada?

Sincerely,

A Huron.

No native HTC vive support? No sale.

Fuckers already did oculus like 8 months ago, and recently added PSVR.

I'm normally not irrationally mad at game studios, even when there's reasons... But this is my top mad of 2016. Paid $1350 for the vive, $3000 for the PC. $550 for the force feedback wheel. And still there's no definitive rally driving game. Well.... There IS. But I can't play it. Cause reasons. Fuuuuuuuck!

Just play it in 3D Vision like everybody else is doing... it has a much better sense of depth and you're not stuck in low-res/low-fps, it's full 1080p@120.

Is anyone playing this? I so desperately long for a new snowboarding game.

I actually really miss the SSX series. SSX Tricky was probably the most fun because it was batshit insane comic book snowboarding, but SSX3 was a lot of fun too. Some of those runs from the peak top down to the bottom took like 20 minutes it was great.

yeah, for me as well the SSX series on ps2 was one of the peaks (ha!) of console gaming.

if VR fails, at least we have 100+ jaw-dropping games to play in 3D Vision, it's not like we're stuck in boring, ugly, flat, lifeless 2D. well, I do anyway, can't speak for the "3D is a gimmick!" internet battalion.

Except there are well over a hundred 8/10+ games playable on 3D Vision, and I don't think VR will get there.

lol, I really hope VR just tanks and goes Virtual Boy and you're all stuck playing in 2D with shit frame rates at a needlessly high res for the next 10 years bwahahahaha

pc gamers sure deserve no less after collectively shitting on 3D like they did...

my evga 970 SSC is probably the best video card I've had since the 9800pro.

then again, I don't care about VR, 4K, or any of those useless gimmicks, I play in 3D.

Clean install every(!) single(!) fucking(!) time(!) and a custom install, too, in order to deselect the retarded 3D Vision bullshit that only the two people on this planet need who actually bought a pair of those dumbass glasses. It's totally useless bloat otherwise.

lol... 9/10 of the good games in the past 7 years, if you played in 2d, you basically played the demo. not everyone likes cyclopia emulation. I for one, couldn't care less about any game that's 2d only.

Not.

I don't think you know what 3D Vision is, Quinn. It has no relation to the "3d glasses cinema bullshit" you refer to

How do? 3D Vision is 3D using stereoscopic glasses.

I tried it once at PAX several years ago with Res Evil 5. I hated it. I don't want to wear headgear and I don't feel that 3D makes my gaming any more enjoyable. After seeing a few movies in 3D I don't care to see another. A good movie is a good movie. 3D doesn't help movies but definitely hinders them.

3D glasses at the cinema use passive technology at 24fps, which creates that cheesy 3d movie effect that just looks fake. 3D Vision uses active technology and allows for 60fps, which makes games look like real life, and is quite obviously amazing to witness. It's the only new visual technology worth mentioning since the release of the first 3DFX card, imo. OK, maybe the advent of AA+AF is also a big deal. Let's say in the last 10 years then.

if you hated 3D Vision when you tried it, there is a very likely explanation: it wasn't properly configured. the system has to be set up by someone who knows what they're doing (note: an nvidia employee or whatever being there is far from a guarantee of that). you may also have tried the older 3d vision 1 system, which wasn't as good. in any case, I mean, I'm at a loss here. I understand that wearing glasses is a technical limitation, but the way I see it, it's sure as hell better to deal with than 2D. at least you forget you're wearing the glasses after a few minutes, whereas in 2D the game will remain unimpressive, flat and lifeless forever.
