Diablo III: Borrowers of WoW.

Worst iteration of a sequel in Videogame history, bar none. Piss off Blizzard, they had their own game, you had to make D3 a miniature experience to cater for the wow player base. Go back to the drawing board, and look at the D1 & 2 Cutscenes, and lore, and come back with a proper Diablo 4, actually, don't bother, nothing will change. Maybe you can hire Steve Ballmer to join party on deck as soon as MS ousts him.

Path of Exile is maturing to be a very fine game. They are doing something right to have pulled away over 50% of your initial player base, myself included.

Have fun getting reaped, poor souls.

This game has singlehandedly erased the misery that Diablo3 has tainted on my soul. Thank you for reaping it back to me, dear GGG. Donated $120 to you this Christmas, absolutely well deserved, the addiction factor is way up there, and this game is a lot nicer than I ever thought it would ever be. It's somewhat of a grind once at level 36+ , but getting there with different characters, and just rediscovering new tactics with every new gem dropped, it's really well done. Time well spent.

Blizzard, just shut down D3 altogether , no one in their right minds, or those with integrity, are going to bother with your RoS expansion.

pass. The glaring flaws are now amplified with this nutty expansion, I've never felt better about myself for saving the $30. It's a simple matter of principle. I have enough money saved to buy the entire EA library 500 times over, but I am too disenchanted with this new Simcity. I'm passing on Diablo's raper of souls expansion too. Path of Exile and Grim Dawn have singlehandedly removed Diablo 3's existence off the gaming charts forever.

Be on the lookout for Banished on Steam, coming soon this end of year. That dev deserves our time and praise for what he is going to bring to the masses.

will GD final 1.0 be out before year's end? or are we looking at early 2014? and what is the frequency that the team would implement major changes from this early access stage?

I've never participated in early access (well, except for Simcity 2013, which is still in beta after nearly a year), but I will definitely be buying GD, as Titan Quest was a very good game back in the day, despite some shortcomings (predictable play to an extent). PoE is very nice too, it put the final nail in the coffin to the Diablo Universe that was mismanaged to its demise by the new spineless folks at Blactivizzion.

PS4 & PC, a perfect marriage, finally! 2014 will be great for all sorts of gaming.

Dammit, I'm gonna have to buy a *puts on glasses* double speed, BluRay for my computer to avoid choppy motion video!

this is great news, as the 1st 7th guest was a huge reason why I bought my first ever soundblaster kit back in the day,

now I have to play the 11th hour! sigh.

The Sims4 should be playable alongside Simcity2013, that would make for a more interesting game. EA should do this for the next iteration, and perhaps there is a way they will do this with Sims4, they have a year to do it. Glassbox AI for commuters and the Sims, will satisfy the nomadic voyeur in all of us!

this horrible expansion ala goofy vertical neon ADD , has finally made me realise, that I need to simply buy ANNO 2070 from Ubisoft.

So Long, Simcity 2013, it's been a ride. Might revisit you one day, just like I might revisit Diablo3 two weeks after the expansion is out, RMAH-less.

The Bean Counting saga continues, except now they are including bean sprouts as their new currency.

Their company is run by a group of elitists whose prerogative is to make only money at the expense of the people who put them there. It is high time humans learn to topple this paradigm in all our existence.

Lightbulb moment:

This move, has stricken Paypal away from this existing formula. And instead of Blizzard getting *only* 15~30% cut, they will now be getting 100% of the cut on ALL Trades.

do you all need an explanation?

yes, I thought you would:

The best items will continue to be in house generated, and Blizzard will set up virtual shop in China or where not, where .... well, I should stop right here, I think you all figured it out by now, I'll save some blues space for the next post.

The P2W continues in Loot 2.0!

CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Bobby and the rest of the fucked losers must have spat his GinAndit back out upon reading this post.

mark my words, this game WILL NEVER GO OFFLINE, save your blue faces, peeps.

Wow, did Blizzard get bought by Microsoft? First the 180, now this? Year of the backscrabble.

Without the auction houses, there's no reason to keep the game online anymore either.

there's also no reason for me to keep playing Diablo 3, since the only reason I was playing was to make money...

while you shot your body down 8 hours a day at a time playing this, did the $12.49 per month pay your $800 rent less utilites and food?

May I ask anyone, ANYONE, as to why they should now continue playing D3 in its current state, until that date?

There is a grand scheme waiting to be uncovered, I'll believe it when i see it.

They should just shut down D3 altogether, and announce D4, with the proper storyline, and get WoW innuendos the f* out of this game.

The RMAH is fine, it's a new business model, it's great, I am happy Blizzard can force it onto their playerbase,

what I am most upset about is: Diablo 3 was tailored to the WOW crowd. It was carefully crafted to have them lift their hands off the WOW game just for a little bit, in intervals, while maintaining that subscription revenue. Diablo 3 is the worst iteration (Story driven) video game I have ever played in my entire life! It is truly an insult and a slap in my face to have waited so long after what was a stellar Diablo 2 experiece.

That not enough people complain about what I wrote above, clearly shows, that Blizzard has its audience by their play-balls.

If I may add, that yes, the RMAH is evil, for it is the driving force game engine at its core, that skins everything around it. If you went to a Blizzard company meeting room in their mornings, you would see their FLOWCHART with the big RMAH rectangle at the very top, with all trickle-down logic underneath it. this is your RNG defined, you blind bats.

is it complicated? no! just admit your fault Blizzard, and re-write the entire Diablo3 story (NOT JUST EXPANSION, I mean a full full rewrite of your game, admitting you ARE WRONG!)

you will earn the respect of your fanbase ten thousand times over, and reap FAR MORE rewards that way, more than you would ever know!

are you man enough, Blizzard?

I haven't played Diablo 3 since a week into 1.04, when the bad taste in my mouth finally manifested iteself. Your expansion pack will remain on the store shelf, not in my house. Good luck to Blizzard fanboys from here on out, I'm done with them, unless they re-do Diablo 3 from scratch. elimiate all the retarded WOW inuendos from spiked shoulder pads, to the way everything glows, and get that god damn pony secret level outta there!

so now, all the kids that will benefit from this charity, can now logon to Origin, and redeem 10 million dollars of Origin games on sale. However they are currently upset over the fact that they can't currently login to play, as the servers are down.

Blizzard honestly believed their Diablo fans must of been under 15 years old and they could trick everyone into the RMAH. Considering the average longtime Diablo fan is probably in his mid to late 20s, it's rather insulting.

Then they throw together this half ass expansion. Even D2 added 2 characters. Wtf, aren't we suppose to improve upon the last? What the hell have they learned? I hate getting suckered into their CE since they come with some fun shiet, but honestly, I HATE giving Blizzard anymore of my money!!! Ahhh! They are getting worse than EA on my hate o meter!

The CEO's behind EA, Activision, et al, are best friends that wine and dine to multimillion dollar yachts, at your expense. Enjoy the expansion!

So In about 1 evening, we'll all go from lvl 60 to 70, and an hour into finding free drops on the ground, that will have better stats than the bought items of last year to date, seding rage to the masses which already dropped $250RMAH dollars to Blizzard's coffers.

Can't wait to rinse and repeat to lvl 80 in Act VI in late 2015!

I destroyed all trace of Blizzard products from my software shelf, they are banned from my generation to come, I won't be soiling my computer's CPU registers with their game code ever again. Their forum still provides a sense of mindless entertainment, as half of their posts are all propaganda that mess with the audiences psychology, which keeps them hooked to fuel the traffic. If one thing Blizzard got right, is to keep their folks 'entertained' even if not actually playing their games.

It won't be as magical to replay this, but i do encourage any 12-15 year old that is curious to know about adulthood, to play through all the Larry games (except for magna cum laude, that was a poor spinoff, don't touch that one).

Larry 1 through 6 for me, were the best adventure games I ever played on the Commodore Amiga, (then on the PC with a soundblaster), they will forever be remembered as the best personal interactive adult education a computer software could ever give you, as a young maturing boy.

Al Lowe and Sierra were genius to have created this back then, and I am happy they remade this, even if I don't get around to replaying it, it's still worth simply supporting and paying for this great title, that's how good it really is. it's an instant classic not to be missed for simply adding it to your game library.

Thx for the memories Al and team that brought Larry back in modern day programming. This does compute.

HL3 will come, as soon as all the Steam services are finally done, i.e Steambox (which might fail, they should just sign one with Xbone and PS4 for that) and in place, it won't be before that.

so sit back, relax, and just 'wait' for HL3 to come, it will, it's just a matter of timing, to capitalize on the gigantic wave that will be in place. It will give Gabe a full 5 Billion dollars for sure, he won't settle for less. I wouldn't either, that IP is priceless, and he and everyone knows it. He won't succumb to the evil practices of EA and Activision either, as he knows that is the epitome of cancer to the gaming industry, but they all grease each other behind closed doors and corporate cruises anyhow. It's a numbers game, each one taking the spotlight, one at a time,

kids, make your own gaming dev studios today, if you want to become a healthy millionaire in 20 years time, instead of wasting your time playing their games only, making ends meet to live in your moms basement.

Longlive Valve, PC , Ubisoft (Guillemot & family), GOG, CD Projekt Red, and some Sony exclusives, Polyphony Digital to name one of a few,
and that guy from ShiningRockSoftware that is on his way to earn his first 50 million dollar paycheck.

may the rest die a laggy hardcore death.
