16. Re: Into the Black Apr 25, 2015, 15:04 MajorD

I've had my share of condescending dick cops and very nice\professional cops, so it is really unfair to hastily generalize on the negative side. Most cops are on the good side, but unfortunately there are bad seeds that give the good ones a bad name.

Overall, it isn't our police officers\forces that are the problem, it is the media and self entitled attention mongers painting a bad image of our police forces more than the bad seeds within those police forces. When a white cop shoots a African American "CRIMINAL", FOR EXAMPLE, he is automatically racist and it was an unjustified shooting even though the "CRIMINAL" was shooting at the police officers and innocent bystanders.

I certainly would not want to be a cop in this day and age, as it would be too stressful and aggravating dealing with all the BS and unfair media.

Thank you to all you good/professional police officers out there for working to keep us and our communities safe.

Was a small docu on tv here the other day about the law office or something like that in London who sort of ordered/firmly requested their employees to have these health apps running on their phone/watch and allow then in sight into it....

sorry I find that scary

Yeah, a little scary. After reading this article, I started looking through the 'Health & Fitness' app, which uploads your data to the cloud, which I'm not too comfortable with, even though they claim you remain anonymous. Nervous

What CPU are you running?

An i7 960

Hmmm. I'm running an i7 2600K, 16GB Ram, and a 780ti, and I am almost running the game full-tilt-boogie 45-60fps. Depending on what video card you're running, that is probably the only upgrade you'll need IMHO. Your CPU has better memory bandwidth, but requires a bit more power, but overall performance is 'just about the same'. If you can swing it, the 980ti is probably right around the corner.

14. Re: Rockstar Social Club Accounts Stolen Apr 21, 2015, 11:27 MajorD

That sucks for the people whose accounts were hijacked and I hope Rock* gets it straightened out for them ASAP.

On another note, they also need to get the online MP crap worked out, so you're actually 'playing' the game more than looking at loading screens. Trying to connect with your buddies and/or crew can sometimes take longer than playing the game itself.

There is no doubt they still have a lot of things to iron out the Online/MP portion of the game to better streamline it. I've never seen/played the console version, but it almost seems like they ported that over and shot-gunned it to work on the PC side of things. /shrug

I went to rob a grocery store with a cement mixer last night. Didn't go so well.

Dude! I literally laughed out loud on that one. Too funny!
It was pretty hilarious.

I was running around doing stupid shit in the city when I got a phone call that I have to go to this grocery store.
I didn't pay much attention to the details so not sure if there were any. The game was telling me to get a car.
A cement mixer was driving down the road, I went in front of it the driver stops I yank the guy out and I remember he was saying something along the lines of "you gotta be fucking kidding me"
I drove to the store and the game tells me to point the gun at the clerk, he starts to fill the bag with cash but the cops are already on their way.
When he finally finish filling the bag I run out of the door and of course no other cars on the road except my lovely cement mixer. I hop in try to drive away from the cops, I think I ended up jumping out of the moving vehicle and swim across this river, managed to somehow get away but I was laughing my ass off.
Dumb criminals reality tv show stuff.

Now I'm literally crying from laughter, and almost choked eating some bread. Oh man, too funny. Thanks for sharing.

There's a camera mode you can set to high, but it's for 3rd person driving.

First person driving is very claustrophobic, and I don't use it much.
Oh my mistake, thought you said there was a camera option for in-car.

Yeah, it's pretty tight in there. I feel like like the FPS camera in general is a bit low, almost like you're 5 foot 5

People have also claimed that when you drive in first person, the car goes slower, to allow you time to react, but I never tested it.

Yeah, I tried driving in FP mode for a while, but it is hard to judge the perimeter of the vehicles; I was beating the crap out of the them backing into things, and especially side swiping other cars and objects. I switch back and for between 3P and FP in driving, but I think 3P is the way to go until I can acclimate to the FP view.

So much to do in the game, I just don't know what I am supposed to do next. What a newb I am.
