Fun game with a lot of potential still.....connecting and controlling various connectors, conveyors, etc. is pretty damn cool and can get complex at times.

When they introduce planets, that will be a nice addition.

Another game that is similar, that already has seamless interplanetary travel is Empyrion: Galactic Survival. It is still in pre-alpha, but it already has a significant amount of content; however, it is lacking dedicated servers at this time, which the next major patch they are working on.

Both games have weekly/biweekly updates too.

Hopefully they're optional, like some of the augs on the previous game. That way, if people want to use them they can, and if people want a challenge, they can choose not to use them and have a challenge.

Good point. Keeping fingers crossed.

It looks ok, it's still alpha so who knows. I'm more interested in the single player to be honest. Multiplayer FPS, I'm still doing BF4 if I do any at all, no real desire to go back to 1996 style DM games.

Agreed. If anything, I'll play the SP campaign, but the 1996 style DM games (as you stated it)......that shipped has slowly sailed away for me.

"PewDiePie’s production company made over $7.45 in 2014"... You wouldn't say.

A local news station did a report on the top YouTuber millionaires the other day and PewDiePie was on target of for $12 million this year.

I don't see the attraction to his videos, as they're somewhat annoying, but heck, good for him finding that niche and laughing all the way to the bank.

I still can't get over the system requirements on the AMD side of things. I fully expect to see either a giant nVidia logo or 'Fuck you, AMD' splash on the loading screen before the menu.

The system requirements look steep. Recommended processor is a Core i7 4790? That's basically the fastest consumer processor on the market now, right?

I want to try the game but I'm afraid I'll need a new PC to enjoy it properly. I've been squeaking by for too long...

I find it hard to believe the game will require that high end of a CPU. The PC hardware industry is at a cyclical low, so I can't help to think there is some sort of posturing involved here. I hope I'm not proven wrong.

At a lower quality than the community usually does as well.

Ya, they make a lot of shit, but the real gems generally come from there as well.

Yeah, I agree, the community made content is typically better without a doubt.

Good luck Blue, we're all counting on you.

As a side note, my Doctor was telling me that they've almost approved a blood testing procedure as an alternative to a colonoscopy; however, if they find something suspicious in the blood testing, then they'll have to conduct the colonoscopy.

He said it should be approved by the time I am due for one, so I'm keeping my fingers, and legs, crossed.

Game is super dark with Revision. Be sure to tweak your brightness or you'll spend the whole game with your flashlight eyeballs turned on.

Also if you have a problem with dialogue audio not playing, launch DX GOTY at least once after installing it, then go back to Revision.

Yeah, it seemed pretty dark to me too. I'll have to do some tweaking.

Thanks for the tip on launching the vanilla version first.

Man, I've been checking the Revision site almost daily for months and the one day I don't check it...

LOL! I found myself doing the same exact thing....glad I am not the only OCD maniac here.

I have a retail copy of the original Dues Ex, but for the sake of simplicity, I picked up Deus Ex: GOTY edition off of Steam not too long ago for under $2.00, which was a no brainer. So, when I installed it today, following the Revision announcement/release, I noticed Steam had it on sale again for $1.39 in celebration of the Revision mod finally being release. It's pretty nice, as you can DL the revision mod right from Steam for free when it detects you have Deus Ex: GOTY edition Steam copy loaded. NICE!

Sigh, yet another game I have to dive into. Too many in the backlog right now.

DayZ, to me, is just confusing. I'm just not sure how they can't have a more complete, better performing game. I hate to say incompetence, but that's what it looks like to me. And I really love the gameplay, but the bugs and server drops and the performance of that GD engine. ugh....

Yeah really, they've had plenty of time and money from early access sales to get most of that ironed out by now, but they seem to add more content (items, animations, etc.), which ends up causing more bugs. I would take an educated guess it is due to how archaic the core of that freaken' engine is coded. /shrug
