Do yourself a favor and buy "Day of Infamy" next time it goes on sale. Forget about CoD and its 5-12yr old player base, I guarantee you will have far more fun and for far less dough.

Aye, I remember seeing Insurgency while browsing mods to play but for some reason, didn't catch my interest, however their "Molotov" update from 2014 looks like it still could be fun.

I ended up buying it. It's bargain and have had too much fun to skip it at this price.

Sacrificed 2 fancy coffees at Starbucks and pulled the trigger on it myself, been a while since I had soo much fun playing FPS

Flamethrower is absolutely ruthless, the screams of your victims do make you cringe a little, well placed shots are very satisfying, even when the game doesn't give you any kill confirmation, the fact that there is no armor and everything hurts is pretty cool on it's own, and lastly voice acting is superb which sets the immersion to another lvl.

Didn't have high expectations but surprisingly I had a blast playing this as well, animations seem rather clunky and the gfx aren't really top notch, however, you seem to forget that really quick once you get into combat, good times all around.

Played on Foy and Dunkirk, really well designed maps, good choke points with many routs to go around, not a clusterfuck like you get in CoD.

Worth checking out.

Haha yes! Traitors!!! ugh 1st day using spellcheck

That was a solid review. Think CoD:The Die'n Simulator might have caused some unintentional laughter urination there.

Ohh the good MoH:AA days, that Bride map it was my clans favorite pistol dueling spot. Good times!

Three years? If THIS is what they have after three years, they need to lay off the pornhub.

That made me chuckle.

Beta was was interesting, got to run around and get killed every 30 sec. Found myself allied with mix'n'match type squad, some in Nazi uniforms, I was on Allied side in my Airborne OP's, hey I guess those Goosestepping mofo's turned on their Furer, so didn't think much about it, wen't into battle with my trustworthy STG 44...guess it was a captured weapon, meh, to battle I went, shot some Rangers that were on the German side, TRADERS I yelled, as I hosed them down with led...

Briefly wondered what history books they have read, uninstalled...

Might give it a whirl, more interested in the flight model rather than anything else, curious how much they managed to improve it over the flight model in Battlefront 1, which was meh ok at best.

As far as the rest of the game....still no saber duels and judging from their videos, really shiny, however, looks like the game play is rather the same as Battlefront 1.

{edit}

After 30min of game play:

Flight model is still garbage.

FoV stuck at 55 and it's just a cluster fuck. Meh...

Can change the FOV in documents/settings (profile config) but.. yeah.. I don't get why it isn't changeable in-game.

Apparently borderless windowed mode "fixes" the colors too.

I played yesterday, and one match it put me into a server with 3 other players (a total of 4/40 players in the match). Next one was fine, but that was.. odd.

I know the first one felt arcadey, but this one feels worse in that regard. Also the aggressive and over-used motion blur on all of the menus and the minimap bothered me (personally - doesn't seem to bother everyone) a lot, when that stuff normally doesn't.

Lastly, had rubberbanding at times, multiple times, surprisingly.

I wasn't excited for it, and still am not, but it has a decent core to it. I like the new gameplay features (using points to buy special classes/vehicles), but I'm surprised they put out an open beta like this, given how open betas have been treated recently.

In fact, all this game made me want was another Jedi Knight/Jedi Academy game...

Yeh motion blur had to go, the RPG core elements are definitely an improvement over the last game, step in the right direction that's for sure, my only concern is that eventually they will release a fast track DLCs to help kids skip all the lvl'ing elements and buy their way in to the fray.

There was a bit of excitement when I got to play as Darth Maul but, sadly it was very short lived.

I can't wait for another Jedi Knight/Jedi Academy game, really wish they would resurrect the old ones...

Is there a server browser?

FYI, rubberbanding increased in bf1 as well so not sure what's going on. It's like the servers deteriorated over the last few weeks.

No server browser, you pick your game mode and matchmaking does the rest.

Really enjoyed this little piece, ohh the good'ol Atari & Amiga days, hehe, almost got little misty eye there

Btw. lady with glasses @ 3:00 min mark, cutting little stamps at a grocery store clerk window, that is how ppl bought sugar, coffee, gas, meat, toilet paper, etc. Also ppl had to stand in a line from very wee hours just to spend those stamps, however there was never enough for everybody. Absolutely surreal.

They keep releasing new updates every a few hours, another update just rolled out a min ago. Haven't experienced any crashes so far, but didn't start playing right at launch so can't vouch for how it went right outta the gate. Just like slipmat said, solid so far.

Cheeky bastards, Warhammer II - The Serpents Edition, is about $250 CAD and it comes with no seasons pass, just bunch of plastic shit and 1 DLC for Warhammer 1, which I'm sure you'll eventually be able to buy on CDKeys or G2A for $5-10.

Absolutely love Warhammer 1 and got about 330Hrs in it and still to finish Norsca campaign, however they are loosing my favor with their business model, or perhaps I've slept under a rock for last couple of years and this is the new way? Gauge for our products, Activision and EA style?

That is the most pathetic launch trailer I have seen in a long time.
Their announcement trailer was much better.

Haha, it's made for 8yr old children. Something they can play on the tube during morning cartoon run.

I wonder if Gargoyles is still on, lol

I'm glad that this game is still going strong, it's quite fascinating how it actually evolved from being a WoW clone that broke the subscription chains.

GW1 and GW2 have never been WOW clones.

Are you sure abut that, GW grew in the shadow of WoW and it also began because of WoW, it was during a time of MMOs sprouting like mushrooms after good rain, ArenaNet just did it different. And it is why I referred to it as a clone that broke the subscription chains
