Weee Days without bluesnews are no days worth living....

I was seriously going into withdraw. Was very close to emailing Blue and asking if we were talking days, weeks, or what, but was trying to be nice and supportive.

BTW (now that I have space to bitch) the bookface page for Blue's has more readers (2201) than the twitter account(1492), but (most) updates were going on the twitter account only...wazzupwithdat?

i'd see posts like the Irrational one, and feel like a mute. Comments really make this site special.

Dong also confirmed that he has no plans to take legal action against any of the Flappy Bird clones that have flooded app stores since its removal.

that's surprising, because i could go easily develop a flappy bird clone app and rake in some easy ad revenue now. could even call it "flappy bird" because he doesn't care, and i might just go and do that...

You'll want to change the name of your clone...perhaps Fappy Bird? :/

Thought it was actually cool that Flea admitted what many haven't, over the years...

Guitars and Drums (pre)recorded. Vocals live. Hmmm. Its a shame that it wasnt the other way around. Anthony has got to be one of the shittiest successful frontman vocalists alive. His recorded stuff is pretty good, but man does he suck live. He cant hold a note to save his life...

I've often heard that about him. But then again, what singer can? Other than Maynard Keenan, I haven't heard a singer that sounds as good live as they do on the studio albums. Scott Weiland sounded pretty good.

15$ ? here it costs 23€ or more to point after conversion -> 32$

$15 was the minimum on the Kickstarter to get the game. Yah, I'd feel ripped off at $32, but only due to brevity).

Just goes to show you dudes have somehow lost common sense simply because it's a Tim Schafter game.... maybe if you guys played recent Point and Clicks you'd have some bearings left to see this for what it is, a mediocre 4 hour game with lame puzzles.

Whispered World or Memoria are light years ahead of this. Memoria especially. Meh.

Maybe I am the only one who expected MUCH more?

For my $15, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

I finished it in 5 hours. Puzzles were either super easy or frustrating (depending on whether you were thorough in your clicking in prior areas). Cliff hanger ending definitely has me waiting for Act II. Humor is great, and the art is great.

It is planned obsolescence however. That's designed into everything these days. Friggin LG fridge I had breaks down literally a week after the 3 year warranty is up. The mobo had to be replaced at $400 - $300 for the board and $100 for the service call - and the fucking fridge was only $800 to begin with. Meanwhile my buddy has a classic Fridgidaire from the 50s which has been serviced twice in its lifetime, still runs like a charm and looks great.

My LG broke down 1 month after the 1 year warranty was up. I've had repairmen coming out for the last year to keep it going...they finally declared it unrepairable, and I'm jumping through LG hoops to get them to make it right. LG = Least Good

My understanding after reading that was they don't want to be sued by any of these guys if at a future date, EA makes a game "similar" to one created during this event.

EA: totally not gonna copy you guys, promise!

Excellent role for John if that is the case. His work as always been great for showing off what can be done, sometimes I wish he could find a game designer who could drive his engines how he expects it will work but at the very least he can create tech demos to show case how he has helped shaped the hardware.

Also, he has always appeared to want to help the community move forward by using his influence on hardware (birth of 3d accelerators for example). While not everybody would agree with his choices, its still great to see somebody put the effort in.

Good luck to John Carmack and the Oculus team, hopefully the tech will help change the way people interact with computers.

I greatly admire John Carmack, and recognize he is a genius, but it hasn't really been the designers holding him back. In some cases, he held them back or tried to. In Masters of Doom, the author describes how when writing the Wolfenstein engine, Carmack absolutely did NOT want push walls, considering them hacky. It was only at the last minute when he added the feature, and later admitted that they were a good thing. And the simplicity that we love in Quake is because he couldn't nail down an engine and forced the designers to ditch work constantly, burning them out. And imagine being a level designer and being handed the Rage engine to make levels in :/

6vs6 is going to be EPIC!
This game is on the wait and see list. The more details they release the less excited I get about it.

6 vs 6? It's so weird. Back in the early 2000's, I didn't play as many games or follow what was going on, due to college, but I seem to recall games supporting more and more players in multiplayer. At what point did the gaming world get hit by a massive meteor, wiping out all the progress that was made?

This is from the shareholders? What about the players? Well serves them right at this point.

This is from greedy lawyers looking to get shareholders involved. How they plan to prove that the entire company was devalued because of one game (that sold well despite it's issues I might add) is beyond me.

They'll prove it by showing the drop in EA's stock price, which is a valuation of the entire company.

Know what else is likely to devalue the stock? Lawsuits from the shareholders against their own company. If they don't like how the company is run, perhaps they should elect a different board of directors?

This does reek of lawyer. I can already see the commercials "Are you the shareholder of a large corporation who's poor decisions adversely affected the valuation of your shares? Bender & Bender can help!"

Who buys from Zavvi when you can buy from Amazon? Honest question here, is it a UK only thing? Why would you choose them over Amazon?

Because Amazon would let you keep the accidentially sent PS Vita. Sure.

I doubt they'd let you keep it for free, but Amazon would probably be smart and offer a rebate to those who got one by accident ^^

In the U.S. you are legally entitled to keep goods sent to you by mistake as a "free gift," according to the FTC.

Q. Am I obligated to return or pay for merchandise I never ordered?
A. No. If you receive merchandise that you didn’t order, you have a legal right to keep it as a free gift.

Q. Must I notify the seller if I keep unordered merchandise without paying for it?
A. You have no legal obligation to notify the seller. However, it is a good idea to write a letter to the company stating that you didn’t order the item and, therefore, you have a legal right to keep it for free. This may discourage the seller from sending you bills or dunning notices, or it may help clear up an honest error. Send your letter by certified mail. Keep the return receipt and a copy of the letter for your records. You may need it later.

Does that count if a bank accidentally credits your account and you then withdraw it? Aren't you obligated to return the funds?
