Reviews seem to be decent. I'm thrilled they appear to have a hit on their hands.

I finished it in 5 hours. Puzzles were either super easy or frustrating (depending on whether you were thorough in your clicking in prior areas). Cliff hanger ending definitely has me waiting for Act II. Humor is great, and the art is great.

My understanding after reading that was they don't want to be sued by any of these guys if at a future date, EA makes a game "similar" to one created during this event.

I greatly admire John Carmack, and recognize he is a genius, but it hasn't really been the designers holding him back. In some cases, he held them back or tried to. In Masters of Doom, the author describes how when writing the Wolfenstein engine, Carmack absolutely did NOT want push walls, considering them hacky. It was only at the last minute when he added the feature, and later admitted that they were a good thing. And the simplicity that we love in Quake is because he couldn't nail down an engine and forced the designers to ditch work constantly, burning them out. And imagine being a level designer and being handed the Rage engine to make levels in :/

6 vs 6? It's so weird. Back in the early 2000's, I didn't play as many games or follow what was going on, due to college, but I seem to recall games supporting more and more players in multiplayer. At what point did the gaming world get hit by a massive meteor, wiping out all the progress that was made?

Can the people who do previews get any lazier? Why don't previews have music anymore, it's only ever that annoying "DAAAAAH...DAAAAAH" sound.
