Thanks Blue. I look at the hardware section frequently. It's a great way to quickly get up to speed on new releases of incremental tech changes especially in video cards and motherboards.

Now if only we could get a blog post from Brad Wardell explaining how this is all related to GamerGate.

I get the feeling that there is more to the story concerning why those devs downloaded a version of Xcode from somewhere other than Apple.

Thanks for linking the autism story, Blue.

It's so rare to find articles that focus on solutions rather than the problems.

Civilization – Beyond Earth on Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
???

LOL, are you seeing if anyone notices?

BTW I've looked at Blue's Hardware Reviews section nearly everyday for over ten years. It's a rare oasis in a sea of crap when it comes to links for real, interesting, cutting edge looks at hardware.

Thanks

Beware of SD pre-orders.
Trust me, I pre-ordered Elemental.

It may be great, it may be buggy 90's era shareware looking pile o' poo.

I'll wait until it's out for awhile before even considering it.

Happy to see that Violet resolved his visa issues. Missed seeing him play in the 2013 season.

Being the first e-sports gamer to get a pro-athlete visa is a big responsibility since it sets the tone for future visas being granted to pro-gamers.

I think Kim Dong Hwan understands that.

The fact that the YouTube situation is focused on monetization makes me worried about streaming.
Twitch is a lot of fun to watch and a lot of those streamers make money off of the streaming. The streams are often saved as VODs for viewing later if you miss the live broadcast. How different is that from the YouTube videos?

Granted it's just a short trailer so there may be a reasonable explanation why they would deliver a response team via a halo drop (note that they say some have not been trained for it, wtf).
I really believe that if they shot it in Japan and in Japanese with clumsily dubbed English, remixed the original soundtrack from the 60's and played it at midnight showings... it would cost less to make, make way more money and have legs for a long life of DVD sales and TV licensing.
Maybe my perspective is not indicative of the reality of the market but I would love that and so would my friends. As it stands, well, won't be paying to see this one.

I like the macro buttons on my G110 so much that I've been looking at the G700 mouse which has the macro buttons on it.
I use them mainly for cut and paste and formatting text when I'm coding.

I did add the logitech servers to my hosts file so they point to my localhost in order to avoid them phoning home for an unexpected update and I have screwed up the macros on more than one occasion but it is definitely worth the time they have saved me.

I was surprised that I enjoyed Port Royale 3 on the xbox360. I played it in bed before sleeping on nights that I didn't feel like reading. Does anyone know if they plan a console port for this?

The internet has taught me that not everyone thinks like me so I may be an edge case here but I have always bought consoles because of the games.
SNES for Mario
Genesis for Phantasy star and Joe Montana
Dreamcast for Sonic Adventure
GameCube for Wind Waker
Xbox for Halo/Morrowind
360 and PS3 were free swag for dev events I was invited to but I would have bought both for Halo, Bethesda games and the variety of JRPG's on the PS3

Same thing for handhelds.

I don't care about performance. I care about the games. I recently replayed SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom on GameCube and loved it.

I'm considering the Wii U because of Pikmin 3.

Hopefully, there will be some games that make me want to buy an XBone or PS4 (NDA may be preventing me from talking about them )

Im assuming the casino compensated the high rollers as I thought poker match staked player money vs player money with the casino taking a percentage of buy in.

That's what it sounds like and it would make sense. It would destroy them to damage their rep with high rollers like that.

It's amazing that they caught them based on spotting 'advantage play' as is what was reported. I suspect there is a lot more to this story that may never be made public

I always thought GW had "Imperial Space Marines" or "Chaos Space Marines" so I'm surprised that they own the generic "space marines".

Played it all the way through (extra bit also) and I felt they didn't go as far as they could have with the puzzles. Maybe it was because they wanted to avoid alienating their typical casual players.

As for porting it? Come on! It should take less than a month to port it to an ipad let alone a pc LOL. There's nothing I saw that was beyond a simple Flash game. Heck it could be ported to HTML5 canvas too.

I kept my pre-ordered copy of Elemental and I look at it whenever I get the urge to pre-order a game.
I'm not joking. I really do.

There is usually more to the story than is revealed publicly at this stage of a case but I find it difficult to fathom that her actions were directly responsible for the reasons that this game has stopped me from ever pre-ordering again

The guy works a ton. I'm always surprised when people say he needs more work.

Larry 3000 is still my favorite.

BRING BACK TIME SQUAD

Oh, and I'm stoked about silver age Batman. Hope they do it right. Stylized and badass.
