About time. 30% cut is absurd and monopolistic.

I was not expecting a sequel but I'm super excited for it! I use to play the first one to let off steam and relax. It made me feel like a bad ass.

I know everyone's hopping up and down for Fallout 4 (I'll probably pick it up when it's GOTY for 50% off), but if you are interested in a Dungeon-Crawling RPG, "The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians" is a great game so far. It looks similar to the Grimrocks, but focuses on combat, leveling, gear more than those excessive puzzles. Definitely worth the asking price IMO.

Nice recommendation, and it's great when they actually have some gameplay right on the steam page... That third video shows members having a pretty huge action bar, and I'm liking the queue'n of attacks...

Already have F4 set up for ~36h from now, but I'm wondering if I can put enough time into this before then to make it worth it heh...
My wife is a fan of Grimrock and she's really enjoying "The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians" so far. UI is simple and solid.

I just hope their next major project isn't the shitty MMO they're trying to make.

Give us Elswyr or Valenwood already!

I enjoyed it as well. I have fond memories of sifting through box after box of dos video games at Babagges.

It was a more civilized time.

I was about to buy Far Cry 3 until I saw that it requires uplay. I hated dealing with uplay with anno 2070. I'll spend my money on something else. Thanks for nothing ubisoft. One burn is enough for me.

My guess is that they max out at about 100k. Also how is an extra 18 million in venture funding anything like Minecraft?

6. Re: 0x10c Multiplayer Footage Oct 25, 2012, 13:27 gradbot

Most companies make a sequel or two to their best selling game before they jump genres (if they ever do). There is a lot that can still be done with Minecraft and other people will do it if Notch won't. Notch is just doing what he wants because he can (as we all wish we could).

Trying to judge a game this early in development is silly since it will most likely change into a completely different game. Vision and game play are almost never the same thing.

That video is rather sad.

I don't get why people can't understand I want to be able to play the single player game I paid for without having to depend on my ISP, the game maker, and the game maker's ISP.
Touché.

You can make private online regions which allows you to play by yourself. I don't get why people cry about always having to be online. I suppose the same people have also boycotted steam? I have no love for Origin.

The game is looking pretty awesome to me. The complete rewrite of the old simulation engine means goodbye to old bugs and hello to new ones.

I don't get this widescreen monitor. It's basically a 30" with the bottom 520 pixels cut off. Running letter box on a 30" will get you the exact same thing since the high aspect ratio screen is only a tiny bit wider.

If it was 40+ inches and this high aspect ratio then that would be a different story or if it's really cheap (not likely).

I wonder if valve up'd their time table on releasing this because of Windows 8? It's no secret that Gabe feels threatened by it given his past comments.

It can never be true 3D when you have a flat screen. For true 3D you need dynamic focus depth. Ie, your eyes can focus on any part of the scene and it seamlessly shifts the focus to there. As long as this does not happen there is no real 3D.

Even if both eyes get different perspective and thus pseudo 3D, you can not focus on any part of the scene - the focus would be infinite (like it is now on a normal screen) and thus, not real 3D.
Correct, no eye tracking, no true 3D.
