I haven't really played any games outside of a few minutes, but they appear to be working fine for me. Do you guys do something in particular in FF when it crashes? Like watching Flash video? I don't think I have ever had FF crash due to a video driver. Win7, GTX570
Was considering Alice, but I still have games I haven't touched from the summer sale and it's nearly time for the holiday sale--when Alice will probably be $10. There isn't anything particularly "maddening" about the game, is there? Like control issues? Thanks.
I still remember an IP of a Q2 server I used to play on--199.79.199.138. Forgot the name of the server, but a search shows posts from 2001 with the name Bloody Waters Lithium DM. Sounds vaguely familiar. I played a lot of Lithium before I discovered Weapons of Destruction.

Exactly. It isn't being cheap, it's being frugal. Honestly, I don't feel like there's many games worth $50, let alone $60. It's the same with movies--why should I pay $13 to see it in a theater when I'll eventually be able to watch it on Netflix for practically nothing? If Hollywood starts crying about profits am I suppose to feel like some kind of low-life putting them out of business? I'm going to worry about my own finances, not theirs. I just can't imagine Darks or anyone else actually making a comment like that and being serious about it.

They think avoiding email would save time? I wonder if they've used a telephone in the last decade. You have to spend time navigating through an automated system before getting put on hold to speak to a live person with the chance they can't help you so you get transferred to someone else, but before you speak to them you have to wait in another queue. Or how about when you get a message saying they are too busy to receive any more calls and to call back at another time.

Yeah, human male wearing some armor. In one of the screenshots he is facing the player and you can see his face. I've played both the games in their entirety so I must have enjoyed them, but I don't fell compelled to ever play them again. None of these screenshots look familiar.

Well, more like $455. lol I wouldn't think they'd automatically charge you the "regular price" without your consent, but who knows. In regards to the $.11 for the key and email, that's probably money they will end up pocketing once they give the rest to charity. 11% of every $1!
I think what some people who are buying don't realize is--if they DON'T sell 10m preorders, then you will NOT get a game for $1. He said (1:15 in the video) you would have to pay the "regular price minus $1". So, yes, if they don't sell 10m, then better for the charity, but not good for the consumer.

It should be noted that OMD lacks a key config so you either have to use WASD or a controller. I'm sure a lot of people are willing to use whatever keys developers throw at them, but for a left handed mouse user, WASD is the absolute worst configuration. As for the controller, it's doable, but not ideal.

With a demo you'll know if the controls can be configured the way you want them.

The article says the sale isn't suppose to start until tomorrow (Sunday), but many retailers jumped the gun. So I'm hoping RS will reduce the price--although the employee at RS said she was almost certain that it wouldn't happen. Seemed she did everything in her power to prevent me from making the purchase. Perhaps she wanted that tablet for herself once the sale began. heh

Point is to get my hands on a $500 tablet for $150. Radio Shack may follow suit of the other retailers and sell them for the reduced price. Bought a 32gb Touchpad at a local Radio Shack for full price in anticipation of a price drop. When I told the employee what I was going to do, she told me I would be subjected to a 15% restocking fee. However, it clearly states on the receipt that this fee does not apply to unopened merchandise. I have no intention on opening it unless the price drops to $150.
