One of the main complaints Bungie received from D1 was the lack of extra content. So, they're working with several other companies to have the "seasons" on track to release new content every 3-6 months for the next three years.

Cuz Deadspace (prior to EA effing it up) and the Witcher 3 are horrible examples of successful single player games. I see your logic there. I know I only play Uncharted for the multiplayer.

Descent is not Freespace 2. And you're talking about sales in 1999. This is 2017 when people can't get enough space games. A single player space shooter sim won't make Overwatch $$$, but you wouldn't need to invest anywhere remotely close to that amount of development overhead.

Bioware Montreal was recently "enveloped" into Motive. It's not surprising that there's minimal development going on.

Bioware Austin is pretty much outsourcing artists to work the last legs off of Star Wars; the rest of them are helping out on Anthem. Sounds like Anthem is the only focus right now and EA is cutting off everything else.

Awesome price for the Rift.
If only there was a place locally where I could try it out.

Stores that sell gaming machines often have a rift/vive demo station set up, though it's like (back in the day) trying to play street fighter at a convenience store.

I love my rift. I played a little bit on the vive at work, but I don't really understand why everyone wants that one instead. There's no headphones (or mic?), the hand controllers are huge and unwieldy.

There is a focus adjustment on the bottom of the rift...I'm not sure exactly what you mean by glasses focus.

I absolutely hated this game at first. I expected the controls to be the same as the previous ME games. They throw so many mechanics at you from the beginning, I promptly forgot them all. I'm a level 46 now and just figured out how profiles work.

Combat is amazing. The "mission quests" (loyalty and major) are absolutely fantastic. But then there are soooo many crazy side quests. The facial animations are a bit weird...they stick out their upper lips on certain syllables but there's so much voice acting I can forgive it. Again, the main missions don't have any of those issues.

I'm more offput by the disparate shaders. The terrain is almost photo realistic, but the Tempest is practically toon-shaded. And all the people wear gear that's either NASA underwear or Destiny/Titanfall crazy sci-fi detailed armor. And then the hair is mostly always terrible.

Still, I can't stop playing this game. Now that I've cracked the egg so to speak, I'm really enjoying all the facets.

The planet scanning is annoying, but understandable, each planet was hand crafted and you'll most likely scan once. However...I've fucking flown to all the outpost planets so many times. Seriously, once you see that cinematic once, you should unlock a skip button.

Buy it for the art alone. Man, this game oozes style.

Edit: I now understand why most fps games have silent leads. I didn't exactly expect Corvo to sound like a failed Batman actor.

I just killed Delilah! I stabbed her in the mouth and pinned her to a painting. (I was going for the non-lethal ending by destroying the painting, but she warped in the way).

Then Daud died? My playthrough I let him live. All these games with "open" storylines always end up having to choose one for you to complete a story arc for a sequel.

Woot! I know what I'm doing tonight.
Not having sex, I see.

Hey gotta do something during those long FTL jumps.

Haha! Sadly, I ended up working OT and just watching Luke Cage with the wife, while E:D installed. I'll play tonight for sure. That's cool to hear there are more HMD settings now, can't wait to try it out.

The AI is vicious now. I pretty much gave up bounty hunting, unless it's one guy in a smaller ship than I. Sometimes I still flee because a wing will warp in to help.

I've found doing the engineer quests to be more fun. You can go to Unidentified Sig Sources and it shows a threat level when you get close. Threat 0 is just picking up jettisoned cargo which you can use for materials. Threat 1 is usually just one small pirate guy. Killing him also gives you materials. Any higher threats and I avoid.

They can make games. However, their art department (if they have one?) is terrible. It's like programmers with no art ability are controlling the art decisions.

Not sure I buy the 64 bit precision for seeing the spacestation from the planet. Wouldn't they have to calculate orbits, then locations of the spacestation? To just get to a point, look up, and see the station...I'm gonna go with a big Nope.

Meh, never expected it to come out this year anyway. The stuff they are demo-ing shows progress. Derek Smart would've released a broken game by now and spend all his time arguing that you're just playing it wrong and it works on his computer and he's god and he's the best developer and he has the best judgement and "Gina".

I'm not playing anything with a fucking 30 FPS limit now that I have a 144hz screen.

Hahaha! I feel you. Usually, it's a simple game file override. It's like the developers "forget" to uncheck a box. Opening the game.ini it's right there to change. Annoying, but I guess PC people are so smart they know to do this?

Edit: This is a blanket statement, so I could be wrong. However, I have dealt with many games with this issue as such.
