News Comments > Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus DLC Roadmap
6. Re: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus DLC Roadmap Nov 14, 2017, 11:09 ForgedReality

So sometime mid next year we can hope for the complete game finally, and at a price more reasonable, eh? I really wish publishers would stop forcing devs to do this shit. They're butchering what could be masterpieces by piecemealing them out in order to gain more profits. Fucking retarded. I'm about to stop buying all games altogether while they're new. Except for CDPR games, probably. They're about all that's left.

Ray's way off base with this one. Even if it were possible, which it won't be, most people wouldn't want to be monitored constantly like that in case there was a medical reason for it. There are dozens of nerological conditions and diseases that are still completely incurable at present. They don't even why most of them exist or how they function entirely, yet he believes we'll just be able to integrate wet ware into the cerebral cortex no problem at all? Yeah, I'll have some of what he's smoking.

The only thing that inhibits any wetware replacement is the power supply and tissue degeneration issue. And 20 years is a long time to find a solution for that. Once we find a way to feed devices via body energy production this industry will explode. And I'd be first up to replace my organs where viable.

Those jackhammer-dicks will sell like hotcakes! In fact, people will stop saying things sell like hotcakes and start saying they sell like jackhammer-dicks instead! Ah, the future is glorious.

Oh, wait, we're about to go extinct. Hold up on that double order of jackhammer-dicks.

The last good NFS game was Porsche Unleashed. Anything after has been made for kiddies.

Quite the bit of bullshit. Most NFS games have been alright up until post most wanted 2005.

Underground 1 and 2 were both pretty decent games. Most wanted 2005 was a high water mark for the series selling 15 million units.

NFS has been in a state of decline since 2005's most wanted sales wise.

No, he's right. High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed were the last (only?) good ones. Since then, it's all shitty arcade physics and zero damage model. So fucking ridiculous. But I guess there's money in pandering to the kids on consoles who don't like a challenging game.

Spot on comment....

"Typical pass the blame for bad design

Yet another self serving line of PR garbage. Take the last sentence:

"90 per cent of attacks begin with someone clicking on an email... We need to protect people from their bad habits," he noted. "

How about you don't make products that can be totally hijacked by opening up an e-mail or viewing a web page.

Calling garbage insecure design from the get go people's bad habits is a bit self serving.

Asking people nicely to please not hack into your insecure products is about the same as asking the burglars to please not open your door and walk out with all your stuff because a good lock is too hard to make or replace."

Doesn't really sound like this person really has any idea what they're talking about. Microsoft and others ARE trying to improve the lock, but sometimes that's not enough. Hackers know well enough to avoid the lock altogether if they can't already pick it open--if a lock exists in the first place. But sometimes that's not enough. Sometimes a good lock doesn't mean shit if the door frame isn't up to snuff. Sometimes crooks will just use a window. Software development is much the same. I'd like to see the kid who made this comment come up with his own genius, know-it-all solution.

Great. Now let's hear about how nVidia hardware didn't need special attention since it just already works.

In all seriousness though, I'm glad AMD can finally afford to pay people to say nice things.

I think I'm going to wait - I replayed The First Order during the summer.

Man everyone keeps telling me about Wolfenstein: The First Order but I never played it

Joking aside, I really enjoyed the New Order... didn't like First Blood as much. I thought the gunplay was excellent in both of those, I'm curious which games people feel are better? I want to play those!

I liked the combat better than Doom even (though Doom looks *much* better and is possibly a better game). Probably just because fuck nazis.

Man, everybody keeps telling me to play First Blood, but I never did.

Joking aside, I felt like The Old Blood was actually better than the first one. It felt more refined and streamlined. The story was at least as good if not better, but it did feel a bit shorter than New Order. I love trying to play stealthily in those games. I feel like it's a lot more fun when you try to add that challenge. It's also easier to stealth kill than running in guns blazing.

I see these guys playing it on YouTube and I can't help but keep thinking they're just really bad. They aren't playing the game right, saying it's hard, but then they set off every alarm, never try to sneak around, or even go for headshots. Of course it's going to be harder to take them down when you aim specifically for their armored areas... >_< It's like these kids have never played a modern Wolfenstein game before.
