11GB seems like a strange number.

It's a cut down Titan core with one memory controller disabled.

Tom's is saying, after an update, that the card is actually $600, which is a sweet deal if true.

Of course since the above mentions the "founder's edition" which is always more expensive, a $600 non-founders could be likely!

They're saying the reference cards will cost the same as third party this time around. I hadn't heard the $600 thing though.

There is way too much micromanagement in this game and it's so frustrating I had to stop playing. This will just add more bullshit to have to keep track of.

Still using a 33.6K modem? The page loaded instantly for me.

Yep. Loaded up right away for me too. Time to uninstall some of that fake anti-virus software.

There's no such thing as a "full clip." It's called a magazine. A clip is an entirely different thing. I hate when people fuck that up. The fact that it comes from an official game developer is even more embarrassing.

"massively upgraded GTA Online" ...except on PS3/360, where we stopped updating the online portion long ago. Because fuck em, that's why.

Thanks but no thanks.

Those old consoles only have so many resources to work from, so it's not like they could support it forever. It's time to move on, chief. I bet you're one of those guys who threw a fit when VCRs weren't a thing anymore too. No more watching grandpa's camcorder home videos.

Could have probably cut that time in half by increasing the polling rate of his keyboard to a sensible rate... Most motherboards have this setting in BIOS. No software required. But, hey, maybe this guy likes taking as long as possible to do everything...

Hmm, that's a pretty impressive debrief to the public honestly... I was expecting them to shirk the blame off on some supplier and say they won't be using them any more.

Well, I mean, one of the suppliers is Samsung themselves, so, they pretty much have to know what happened so they can fix it.

Nobody wants VR to die, you dweebs. Try to adopt a sense of humor.

However, VR isn't exactly a gigantic enterprise, and I haven't seen any demos (who are we kidding? They're ALL tech demos at this point) that make me want to rush out and buy a Vive. Maybe 3 or 4 generations down the road, this will change, but right now would be too soon for any serious entries to the platform. Certainly not anything of any lasting effect. And how would that be of interest to Valve? Like OLED, VR isn't quite ready for mass-adoption yet. Too many hurdles to overcome and not enough benefits.

I watched a marble-sized rock fly across from the oncoming direction on the freeway, over the divider and directly into the center of my windshield a little less than a year ago. I remember seeing it so clearly, and it was almost dead on at me, so it looked like slow motion. When it hit, and I'm thankful it wasn't on my paint, it left a really nice circular spiderweb with a slight horizontal crack. Two days later, it had spread across 80% of the width of the windshield. Holy crap. Ended up replacing it and paying the difference for OEM glass and sealant. The insurance company will only pay for the cheaper, thinner glass and crappy-tier sealant.

I believe it cost me something like $400, but it was worth it to me.

So, basically, he regrets ever suggesting there would be a third game, and he's pissed that so many people now want one. "GOD DAMMIT! What have I gotten myself into?!" Also, the next game will be Just Another Shooting Gallery Style Game Where You Are Confined To A Small Space Since That's All VR Seems To Be Capable Of And Will Pretty Much Die Out Soon And Be Generally Regarded As A Bad Idea type game called Half-Portal VR.

How much worse would it have been to release 3.0 without the login requirement, and then add it on with version 3.3, or 3.5, or 3.8? That would have been even worse.

Kek. I like how he basically admits it's bad and nobody likes it, but he's like, "well, just deal with it and take your medicine. Nothing you can do about it now..."

Bitch, please. You know that shit is entirely unnecessary. If you need a login to link all your toys, fine, but you shouldn't need one just to use your hardware. Fuck off with all that bullshit.

The fuck is 'DCI-P3'? Guess I should read the article but I just can't be arsed at the moment...yeah, something something lazy something something darkside something piss off, mate...

=-Rigs-=

They don't explain it in the article as far as I can tell, but it's essentially a standard for a color gamut (in this case one that allows for the display of a wider gamut).

Also I know when they're putting a $2k price tag on a monitor they feel it needs a unique design but... ew.

It's way the fuck too small, especially at that price. 40-50" is the absolute perfect size for a 4k desktop monitor. Monitor manufacturers need to wise up. Can't wait to see if the new line of Samsung TVs will come in a version of that size.

Holy fucking shit. Glad I turned off updates for my work laptop and I don't use Windows 10 at home. I NEED my three monitors at work, seriously.

Soooo many annoying problems with 10. Why the fuck did we ever switch from 7 Enterprise?
