Can anyone explain how it is that GTAV takes the top spot so often? As often as it's happened since its release in Sept 2013, every person on the face of the earth would own at least one copy, yes?

Hyberbole for effect aside, this is rather impressive, if accurate. And why wouldn't it be accurate?

If there's enough demand/hype surrounding a game, then making a launcher in exchange for greater profits makes sense. The game business is a business after all.

And what is the harm, exactly, in having multiple launchers? Yes I'd prefer to have all my games run on the same launcher but when did the world arrange itself to conform to my preferences? Oh that's right, it never did/never will.

The bottom line is this: My desire to play Fallout 76 is greater than my preference to have a Steam-exclusive game library. That attitude means I can enjoy GOG games, Ubisoft games, Battle.net games, etc. Bully for me.

I was just in there today picking up an RCA female to female adapter, fully realizing I could get the same thing from Amazon at the same price with free shipping.

Beamer's not wrong but what happened to RadioShack is nothing more complicated than this: highly-agile competition.

You bought it, you have zero right to bitch about it. Now if it were an unknown from a new developer then sure. However this is what DICE does and has been doing since day one and everyone knows it. Yet, in spite of that you still give them money anyway. That's the definition of insanity boys.

Jesus, I'm finding myself in agreement with Cutter more and more lately. Gotta stop cutting my lithium pill in half.

Wow, I was expecting just another mod with new textures and the like but this is a completely different game. If your machine has the stones, go full retard on all options and it looks pretty good. I'm still only in Cordon but there's got to be some levels that are unchanged from the alpha to the, er, omega?

"Spencer: Dropping Kinect is not the No.1 Xbox One request."

Ok, it's the number two request. They'll drop it. It's 100 dollar paperweight no one wants or wants to make games for. That won't make the NSA too happy but there's already several million suckers that they can spy on with it.

The thing is, they could be making games that make good use of it. Imagine an FPS where you move forward by jogging in place. Your controller is in the shape of a weapon that kinect reads and calculates the position of the reticle on screen. Moving left, right, up, down is just a tilt of the head. If you kneel to shoot, so does your character in-game. A game that incorporates this kind of thing could be pretty immersive, and burn off those Cheetos and Mountain Dew at the same time.

So you're going to turn your head to turn your avatar, correct? So now your head is angled away from the screen which is awkward. What if you wish to turn farther in the same direction? Turn your head even farther away from the screen, I suppose, and now you can't even see the game.

Immersive? Maybe. Impractical? Most certainly.

This will end poorly, I suspect.

Palmer Luckey: "I guarantee that you won't need to log into your Facebook account every time you wanna use the Oculus Rift."

Whether or not you choose to take him at his word is up to you, of course.

Jesus. And if this changes, it crashes and burns.
People need to stop thinking it will somehow let Zuckerberg watch you pee.

Know what $2 billion buys you? The right to make changes. Six months from now, Palmer may not be in a position to guarantee anything when it comes to how this gadget gets used.

Now I'm not a chicken little type looking for a sky-proof hat but at the same time, I understand the acquisition dynamics of this scale. The short version: the buyer calls the shots.

Nothing like telling a bunch of guys you're hoping to strike a multimillion dollar deal with that working with them might be "jumping the shark".

Contrary to popular belief, that episode of Happy Days was one of the more popular ones, and the show continued on for six more seasons after that.

What you say is true but (spoiler alert) just because something is popular does not mean it's worth a tinker's damn. Something popular CAN be good, of course (not unlike Minecraft) but much of the time, popular things turn out to be shit.
