Why does anyone care about the 5000 series at this point?

There aren't any games that even come close to justifying the 'need' for this power, niche applications? Sure. 'Modern' gaming in 2024? Have you seen the state of 99.9% of games? Even ones that approach having the 'need' for high-end hardware almost always fails spectacularly when it comes to optimization.

Name one game on PC worth playing that necessitates GPU features like this? FFS how long has 'RTX' been a thing and it's virtually UNUSED many, many years later? Typical Nvidia fuckery.

The games are mostly generic trash and there's basically a monopoly for competency in the GPU space, a golden era of 'gaming' to be sure.

TO SAVE MORE, YOU HAVE TO SPEND MORE = THE CULT OF STUPID FUCK CONSOOMERS, MORE MORE MORE!!!!

Here's a quick summary of the Madden documentary:

  • We created a monopoly
  • We fired any competent technical staff/engineering
  • We raped the franchise into the ground but made millions by exploiting addicts and children through hyper monetization

If you've seen that neon-green 'street ball' version of Madden where they tried to emulate NBA 2K my park just to sell cosmetics, you'll know that not only is Madden not salvageable at this point, it's not worth salvaging even if it was. Pure cancer.

EA can also eat shit and die in a fire, generally speaking.

Echo'ing sentiments on System Shock remake. I played the 'demo' they released years ago for it and it didn't really do anything for me at all. I loved SS2 and never played the original so I figured I'd give it a fair try since it's on sale.

I'm probably 1/3rd of the way in and I'm really enjoying the game so far, WAY better than I remember the demo being. Highly recommend, Nightdive did another solid job.

Ah Blizzard, what a dumpster fire of a company. I wonder what lack of focus would cause Blizzard, part of a billion-dollar+ organization, to completely fuck up yet another game, it's not like they've done it previously multiple times or anything:

  • Error 37
  • RealID, lmao remember that joke?
  • Locking their mediocre games behind a completely unnecessary Battle.Net client
  • Diablo 3 'Real Money Auction House' blatant cash grab
  • Diablo Immortal, another money-grubbing mobile game, what you don't got a phone, fucking idiot?
  • Warcraft 3 Remastered - Another half-baked cash grab
  • Malware/Spyware of Blizzard's Anti-Cheat system (Warden). Blizzard likes to snoop around your PC
  • Pay walling a fucking Overwatching league, epic lulz
  • Taking a relatively interesting concept like Hearthstone, and turning it into a P2W garbage fest
  • Re-re-releasing World of Warcraft to the same group of hopeless addicts for the 5th time in 10 years

It's almost like if these dumb pieces of shit actually focused on what mattered, they might not need their cuck-looking CEO to come crawling to Twatter to tell us: "businessing is hard guize, plz halp!". What a colossal dipshit. Hope the game is a massive failure and Blizzard takes one step closer to the grave.

I would rather let a rotund youtube mukbang'er blast liquid taco bell beef diarrhea into my mouth than give Konami a single shaving off of the oldest, grungiest penny I can find.

Fuck Konami, what a trash company.

This is why Sony is a dogshit company on many fronts:

"The PlayStation Game Pass alternative won’t offer day-one releases on the subscription. "

https://bgr.com/tech/sony-will-unveil-its-xbox-game-pass-rival-soon-new-reports-say/

Pay the greedy wankers $10 a month so you can play old stale games. The funny part? The mindless Sony cultist fanboys will claim this is a 'GREAT' deal!

At least Microsoft's game pass has SOME value to it, but Sony? This is exactly what I expected from this half-baked company.

They spent most of the 'single-player' budget on the casting costs of all the characters that are directly based off of real-world actors. I can only imagine how many millions were sunk into that alone. They seriously couldn't just use artists to create fictional characters that wouldn't have really cost...well anything?

It's like the morons at CDPR paying out the ass to license a Porsche in-game for Keanu's character...except most people played through the entire game and never saw the Porsche a single time, so why exactly was all that money used to license a car that was not seen by the majority of players?

The people who run these studios are beyond stupid.

As long as Ubisoft is involved you can be all but sure the gameplay will be a watered-down, pseudo-open world, assassin's creed copy+paste job that shamelessly rips off elements from the modern batch of Hitman games.

Remember when Chaos Theory came out and was considered a defining game of a generation? How far the franchise has fallen since then.

UBIsoft, here to remind you that now matter how pathetic companies like EA or Activision are...there's always at least one heaping pile of burning feces that's somehow worse: enter Ubisoft!

Remember when Tom Clancy games had a modicum of self-respect? Then Ubisoft ate everything up and raped the franchise into oblivion. Now we have counter-terrorist units fighting zombies while wearing NFT unicorn hats. The fuck is wrong with this joke of an industry? LMAO!

Hopefully Ubisoft chokes on a bag of dicks and goes bankrupt because of it.

Dice is struggling to get basics like mouse aiming working...what a disgraceful studio. BF2042 is a turd wrapped in hair and set on fire. It doesn't help that one of their principal PR outlets is some person on twitter with the username 'DRUNK', extremely reassuring coming from a billion dollar gaming company.

"I hope I didn’t disappoint"

You know you really screwed the pooch when that line is in your departing message.

Battlefield 2042 is a disaster on every level, thank baby jesus terrible goofballs like this individual are gone, but sadly will probably be somehow replaced by even worse. This franchise is D.O.A.

This industry is so damn cringey.

Shades of Netflix! *ferocious wrist snap*

Also...'A Ubisoft Original'? English isn't my first language, but shouldn't it be An Ubisoft Original?

Really doesn't matter to me, the last Ubisoft published title I played was...*checks notes*....Far Cry 3...from December of 2012 LOL.

Looks like we found the newest Google+'esque failure from our annoying pals over at Gewgle.

The company responsible for operating the flaming cesspit called YouTube is going to somehow solve the infrastructure limitations that make this virtually inaccessible to a massive percentage of users while branding it as something that 'enables gaming for everyone'? Wow sounds like a recipe for disaster and straight PR/Marketing horseshit.

This thing can die in a fire, as quickly as possible please.

PS. The controller looks like ass and looks like it was designed by committee in a boardroom 'hey guize, let's just merge the Xbawks and Paystation controllers!' *do not pass go, do collect 6 figure salary*.

What a wonderful industry /s

I think this is one of the few things that we can ALL agree on here.

Fuck cheaters.

I really hope this is the start of a trend with strict hardware bans from more developers so these low-life losers can go and cry to mommy for more money for a new PC (hopefully mommy will tell them to pound sand).

Good riddance to toxic assholes.
