Apparently I am going to have to try out Metro 2033 one of these days. I've held off on it since I wasn't sure my OC'd E6400 and GTS250 could handle running that game.

Try the demo. I found 2033 way too different from Stalker. Linear and not open world.

I hope the word is that the console versions are canceled while PC development will continue.

At least they died before ruining the franchise with simplified console games.

QFT. As much as I REALLY wanted another STALKER, my gut told me the next one would of been a complete console abortion mess.

Bought and LOVED all the STALKERS.

RIP, the extremely unique atmosphere and raw design will truly be missed.

Haha, I like this idea. Sort of like the blur effect that was in GTA4.

Wonder how long it will take the crackers to remove.

I'm betting by mass appeal they mean a 360 release also.

From the media this looks exactly like FSX. Maybe it'll be coded well this time so the average gamer can run the game.

Looks like Dead Space is the new cookie for all of EA's milk.

Didn't care for DS mainly cause of the uneditable FOV.

I'd rather have higher quality drivers than many updates in a short amount of time.

The new game releases are forcing them to. The quality is fine.

BS. Drivers should be worked out and tested before a games release, not 2 weeks after.

I find ATI pathetic and will not be buying their products next hardware update.

Has the PC version been updated to take better advantage of the hardware or this the same tired AC2 engine providing another expansion pack?

I'm betting this will turn out to be a very shallow and simplified game compared to the first 2.

I'll be waiting for a demo.

Why is this PC news? I thought Ubi was done with PC from 95% piracy? <sic>

RAGE still at $30. I suppose its worth it but already have too many games I bought in the last week.

The Witcher 2 for $16 at Amazon is a great deal too.

Word of the forums is that this game is excellent. Too bad no one cares cause they are too busy playing tons of other huge releases.

Wasn't this game suppose to be out over a year ago?

Late, cuts PC version, Live/PSN only; all screams B rate budget title.

Like Future Soldier, can't say I'm sorry to see the title go.

I'm really surprised there is no demo for this game.

With all the games out now, a sweet demo would at least set them apart a bit from the others.

Anyone tried making the skyrim folder read-only to block unwanted updates? I often make my ini files read-only once I've made the changes I want so the launcher doesn't overwrite them.

I suspect Steam simply changes the folder and files back to readable.

What we need is a program that monitors files and asks for user authorization for any read-only changes.
