Early Access is for the birds. Really not liking this trend of games never getting finished.
Just can't be fought, voting with your wallet does not work at all any more. Too many people have too much money and don't give a crap. |

5 lbs. of battery will give plenty of duration, I don't see any battery issues.
There will be a much higher res screen in the Gen2 version, I assume.
Consistent, zero latency bandwidth might be another story with the higher res. I suppose they could simply use several Wifi connections in parallel then merge them somehow.
Oculus Rift better hurry and catch up. |

Seems nice but I hope there will be more 'sim' aspect. As in actual challenge to control, not just shoot.
Much of the action and movements looked odd.
Also, as already stated, one can already see this game will be fully console designed then made to work OK on the PC. |

Color me impressed.
Apart from the hyper-antiseptic, plastic-y graphics, the few gameplay features they showed are rather unique and fresh.
Creatures morphing into common objects?! The main character morphing into an inanimate object!? Pretty neat if they use all this in fun, clever ways.
Nice scale and interesting setting in the final space walk shot also.
I just hope it doesn't turn out consolized crippled on our PCs. |

They all certainly sound neat but how do they expect to make money catering to the tiny amount of VR owners?
Also, with the usual frame rate concerns surrounding these products, I'm betting these titles will be cartoon-like in graphic fidelity.
It's like going back to a black and white CRT TV, no thanks. |

Didn't this game used to have a remote camera viewport so you could manage your AI squad from somewhere else in the level and also see what they are doing in real time?
Or maybe the gameplay trailer didn't show that feature. |

El Pit wrote on Aug 13, 2016, 10:27: To sum it up, it is better to wait and see if they add more diversity in gameplay and flora/fauna, I understand? Maybe there will be a GOTY version in a year or so with added features. It's alright, I can wait. In today's gaming landscape, I honestly don't see this happening.
Most likely they will shift their attention to making NMS2 into the full featured game that everyone really wanted. Then they will offer DLC for this one instead. |

This game seems it would lend itself much better as a putzy phone app to waste some of life's moments on while waiting at the STD clinic.
Now, if everyone would please get out of my way, I have to hunker down to go rehearse for some upcoming, never before seen levels of hype for Blackroom by John Romero and Adrian Carmack. |

VaranDragon wrote on Aug 10, 2016, 04:00: Bioshock was a console game. From a technical standpoint it was a decent port, but the gameplay was typical console garbage. People keep telling me how cool it was once you got into it, how cool the story was, how cool Rapture was etc. etc. To me it was nothing like System Shock (of which it was supposed to be a spiritual successor) and the clunky gameplay, combined with the attrocious checkpoint system just made me cringe as I played.
Now Interstate 76, re-released with its gameplay completely intact and with updated graphics. That would be pure awesome. QTF. Was a typical cosolized game on PC.
No I don't want I76 redone because you absolutely know they will mess with it i.e. consolized. |

I see it as MS trying to be more like Apple. Don't see anyone screaming about them and their closed systems or requirements. People flock to their products.
The shift towards subscriptions is what bothers me. I don't like renting things, I want to own them but this seems to be more and more a thing of the past.

Looks nice enough much like Tom Clancy:The Division but I know nothing about this game.
Is there any single play like The Division at all? Is there good stealth implemented? |

Still hate this reboot agenda.
This is like remaking an old F1 car but making it offroad capable and have plenty of cupholders.
Do not want consolized System Shock. |
