Neat. I bought Ashes of Malmouth but never got around to playing it... Seemed pretty legit for $18 though. Soon...

Also damn, that's a pretty quick release. I kind of wish it was more graphically pleasing, though it doesn't look terrible.. it's just that spells and effects don't look as crazy as they could.

Yeah.. at least last season had a big patch. This one has nothing new besides a pet/portrait, and that stuff's rapidly losing what little value it had with the game's ongoing age...

Yeah, it worked very well when I played (though respawning is a major issue right now) - however, they need to show off more content (albeit these are stress tests) because it REALLY feels shallow for $60 and not worth it at all.

Yeah, it's a pretty great fantasy L4D, with some loot and leveling. Very cheap, so it's worth checking out if you have any interest. It has something for everyone, I think... except PVP.

Just make a new one already, gad damnit!

I knew this was coming, only a matter of time. But after playing through it on PC and 360 multiple times.. I can't take that soundtrack or DJ anymore.

4. Re: etc. Feb 19, 2018, 16:52 Rhett

I was kinda looking forward to this event, but it looks really, really boring. I expected something better than a crappy L4D ripoff.

Though I do like the way they're handling games now. I've seen some real improvements, especially to The Division.

That's why I usually hate Japanese-made games, as for whatever reason, they have their own system for menus and it's usually awful or lacking sensible options. Controls are often also clunky.

I personally really enjoy the game though, once learning the controls and (awkward) menu system. It's like a more mature Fortnite (PVE). Doesn't really need the Metal Gear name attached to it, nor does it really feel like the MGS universe, but I imagine the SP campaign fills that gap as there's supposedly some oldschool story writers for MGS onboard.

Yeah.. they've shafted co-op significantly up until now though. Weird they finally put this out... and then it's limited. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

This looks really cool. Definitely keeping an eye on it. Call to Arms/Men of War still feels clunky as hell, hopefully a more ARMA approach feels better.

Not that it matters, this game is dead now. It's not even close to the top 100 played on Steam, and there are currently about 250 people watching battlefront II streams on Twitch. It's nowhere near the first page.

Apparently it sold under 2 million units, which is pathetic for a AAA multiplayer game. Sure they may get some wales spending a few thousand on these microtransactions, but they won't come close to recouping their costs.

EA can go fuck themselves. I don't even care about Anthem, let alone if it got pushed back. Bioware is dead to me.

Top 100 on steam? This isn't on Steam... only Origin. Though I'm not sure if there's a stats page for Origin.

Still? There was no campaign in the first one...

The game already heavily supports PVE/co-op against bots, about 50/50 with PVP, and it's a lot of fun.

News Comments > Rainbow Six Siege Standard Edition Price Not Increasing
3. Re: Rainbow Six Siege Standard Edition Price Not Increasing Jan 27, 2018, 15:34 Rhett

Yeah, all of those editions are quite confusing.. I'm sure intentionally. Siege is already filled to the brim with cosmetics for sale.

And they also are giving new players/sales more "free crates" for the upcoming event, 3x as many as people who have played since launch and supported the game. I don't personally play or like Siege, but the whole game just seems scummy.

News Comments > Ghost Recon Wildlands Loot Crate Plans
12. Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands Loot Crate Plans Jan 24, 2018, 15:48 Rhett

There's just no place in this game for these... Yes, probably one of the lesser-intrusive ones, but just having them dangling there is bad enough. Plus you can't even earn them in-game, at all. There is no way to earn in-game credits (the paid "currency") either.

The main campaign has gotten no love outside of the DLCs, and the CMs kept saying "we have something big planned for the end of december for PVE!" which ended up being a very basic Predator event, with 99% of the cool stuff locked behind a $20 pay wall.

Community asked for a lot of minor features, only one of which is finally coming to fruition, without warning, which is Fallen Ghosts DLC in the main campaign. So I dunno.. pretty irritating devs.

4. Re: World of Warcraft Recruit-A-Friend Changes Live Jan 23, 2018, 03:11 Rhett

Besides this and the new leveling changes though, I believe dungeon leveling is still totally viable. It's pretty quick too, last I recall.

Odd changes, but I guess when you steamroll all of the content you don't really learn how to play your class that well (for newer players anyway).

Looks akin to Escape from Tarkov, which is neat. A newer concept, mixing PVE and PVP (Tarkov has AI with loot mixed with players) along with the hardcore complexities of DayZ-esque one life, lose everything if you die-gameplay.
