Surprisingly few issues with the launch, gotta commend them. Didn't get DC'd once, no huge lag spikes, and barely any contention over quest objectives (either shared or made lootable by everyone).

I, too, also loaded it up after not playing for at least a few seasons. It was absolutely insane.. went from level 1 to easily clearing GR80+ in a day, due to the sets. It was fun to dive back into though, but holy hell the balance feels so screwed up lol. Wish we had something to contend with D3 in terms of just jumping in and playing. PoE does not cut it for me, Torchlight is garbage now, Last Epoch still needs work, and Grim Dawn just ain't pretty enough...

I agree, it is... recoverable, and there's some light on the horizon. But damn, people need better education and to think for themselves.

Shadowlands and Black Ops both set new sales records against previous entries, sadly... Shadowlands looks kinda promising, but anything's better than the current expansion at least. Black Ops looks like a big step back though.. not sure why people are buying into it...

Kinda surprised Doom is up there. I mean it was a solid, polished experience.. but I don't personally think GOTY. Suppose there's not a lot up there this year to contend with.

Also good to see Nioh 2 representing (best action game). Can't wait to play that on PC in February.

I don't think it's milking it at all to be honest. It's just to keep people interested in the game well after launch. If they dropped everything on launch day, would you still be interested on this day? Probably not. This gives the fans something to continuously look forward to and keeps it fresh. Kind of like when Blizzard would drop an expansion for their older RTS games to give it a second life. Usually the expansion would follow a year after launch and it brought new life to the game.

You don't have to buy the DLCs so it's really for those interested in the game still at this point. If you were bored back when it launched, you probably have no interest to buy these DLCs now.

I also think the late character releases, at least with the non-MK ones, probably adds to the polish. The amount of care and detail that has gone into all of the characters is pretty astounding. I haven't played a fighting game in years, with MK11 randomly pulling me back in.. It was so freaking awesome. I've even watched "movies" of the cutscenes/story playthroughs. Just fun to watch.

Also a lot less ability spam, it seems like. In Odyssey, I definitely recall spamming abilities to do most of my damage towards the end... Here, they seem supplemental (and hilarious oftentimes).

I miss chasing all the loot with stats and stuff in Odyssey, but this new system is probably for the best. Very flexible, and a lot of choices - especially once you get two-hander dual-wielding.

Have to admit this is surprising as everyone I know has MW, but not a single one purchased blops and the one's that pre-ordered cancelled after playing the beta.

Yeah, same here... Everybody. I don't get it.

I'm about 25 hours into AC:V (PC) and the only crash I've had so far is just when I initially started it, which made my computer reboot for some reason (possibly outdated drivers).. but after that, no crashes. A big handful of (mostly hilarious) bugs (wile-E-coyote type stuff, or silly ragdolls), but that's it. It's pretty decent, gives me some light Red Dead vibes with how alive the world feels. Side missions are more often just quick encounters, which is nice. Good voice acting. Gorgeous map. Good performance. Great, gory animations/finishers.

Only issues I have with the game is that they cram in puzzles almost everywhere, for simple loot, and it gets tedious. Mostly mean this just for getting the golden chests with resources and such, sometimes it's just not worth the hassle. Combat's really fun though, once you get a bunch of abilities unlocked.

Watch Dogs felt like shit though. Only played for an hour or two before I uninstalled it... Cool city, but it feels REALLY damn arcade-y. I like the ideas they had, and you have a little more freedom, but actually running around or getting into combat feels like a poorly made indie game that doesn't take itself serious. Numerous bugs, too, like fist-fighting an enemy and the enemy stumbles backwards inside the wall, so it pulls out a gun and proceeds to shoot me from behind a solid wall. I loved WD 1, and hated #2, but I believe these games need a bit more weighted reality to it. #2 is where it started to get ridiculous.

I barely stepped into it, as I can't bear to play D2 right now, and I've seen similar thoughts.. Seems like a very empty expansion so far? Even worse than Shadowkeep, which I actually really liked.

It's like people paid for a big patch that removed content. I don't quite get it. Shadowkeep was pretty awesome in what content it did have, but what the hell is Beyond Light?

Modern Warfare was so cool.. Saw gameplay of this, there's so few guns! Like at least half as many guns, it felt like. I don't get how that's cool.

All I heard the first time was that it was an exclusive train wreck... The trailer's not really doing it for me either, and it's already 'mixed' on Steam. I hope they can turn it around, but it looks pretty damn rough right now.

It's certainly far from a polished Fallout FPS experience, but it has its unique charms. It's very fun in co-op. And it's also very fun (to each their own) to design your own home/base wherever the hell you want. Or if you just feel like packing up and moving and making a new base on a whim. You can.

I haven't played since diving into Wastelanders, and I don't think I'm ready to go back yet, but I hope it's doing better.

Typically pretty decent and polished co-op games, too. I haven't played any of the MCC, however, so I can't vouch for that.

I really, really enjoyed AC: Odyssey, as a first game in many iterations that I had played. They apparently got rid of the Origins/Oddyssey diablo-style loot though which kinda (does and doesn't) sucks. But the combat was fun, and this combat also looks fun.

And it's like, what, $15 on their subscription? With WD: Legion. Might be worth dipping into.

But my face is still tired after the last one!

Loved the gameplay of Andromeda, but then they went and abandoned the MP less than a year in, leaving it a hobbled mess with paid loot boxes. Come on. I even bought the deluxe edition. Not this time.
