Actually, I think it's just a bug. The lighting was bad due to the weather and webcams arn't known to have excellent tracking. Since it passed infront of the bridge, it must have been close to the camera. So I think it was just a gnat right next to the camera.

That's about how I expected it. I was never fond of hardcore teamplay though, part of the reason I left WoW raiding. One or two incompetent players can bring you down. I like TF2, but I much prefer non class based games if I want to be competitive.

An interesting read, but I don't get how class games can have competitive play. No class is on a level playing field unless they are playing a character of the same class/composition.

I used to play the sniper all the time just because of how easy it was to wipe out whole waves of teams. I stopped because it got easy.

Does anyone here play TF2 competitively and care to explain just how class balance comes into affect?

1. I hate Guitar Hero, but it looks like it might actually have some good songs this time.

2. Jimmy Page seems really stuck up. The way I read it, he was saying no one can play there music because it is too difficult. They've put plenty of difficult songs in music games that people love.

That was the most stunning aquarium I have ever seen. Has anyone on here ever been to it?

Guitar Hero needs to die out. Rock Band however, needs to stay and continue to grow. Their effort in DLC is amazing, I only hope the library grows to 10,000 songs. It's amazing GH plans to even compete with RB when they release terrible games like Aerosmith while RB goes with The Beatles.

He posted his idea on the Valve forums, where he clearly stated Valve reads the ideas. Valve finds his idea and likes it, thus using it in their future content. He has nothing to complain about. Just because he's getting his idea in L4D2 instead of DLC does not give him the right to complain, unless he specifically requested he wanted it in L4D1.

I don't tend to lean anywhere but behind walls in real life ;). I agree with you about a change needed so you can swap difficulty midgame, but yes, hard is the highest level until after the game is beaten.

As for the last part, I quoted someone else as was not refering to you, hehe. However, the nice thing about the COJ system is that everything is flagged as cover that is worth hiding behind, thus rendering leaning useless.

I know what a free lean system is, I'm asking why you would need it? Everything in this game has the option of being cover. Isn't the whole point of leaning a stealth or cover advantage? That's exactly what they added to the game. Cover never once "kicked in" when I didn't want it to, as I would only use it when under fire and leave it when the fight was done. To me, their cover system was much more realistic than normal leaning. Also, I had none of the difficulty which you expressed from hard mode. Towards the end of the game there were moments where I died repeatedly, but it was because I was trying to hard to rush the game.

Also,"How often does a cover system let you pick your field of fire, like say shooting down a hallway from a door rather than just directly across the hall?"
The system they use lets you use any corner, door, window, rock, box, etc. as cover. As I read what you say, it seems that there is some assumption that you can only cover behind certain objects?

Why would you need manual leaning when every time you are in cover and mouse over you lean? The whole point of leaning was to provide cover, and that's exactly what they've done. Also, the enemies do miss on hard, but they do more damage so it does seem like they never miss.

It was a pretty good port. There is no aim assist unless you are dual wielding, and even then it isn't that bad. The cover system was pretty good. You run up to any corner, box, rock, etc. and you get behind it. From there you can look up over it or around it. You stay in firts person the whole time. Badguys are highlighted in concentration mode, which is optional to use but reminded me of quicktime in Max Payne. Overall I thought the game was pretty good, but it was filled with religious undertones if that is something you do/don't want.
