Said no one.. ever Hopefully most of it is optional.... I'd rather have combat be optional as well, but as long as it doesn't break the flow of the game and is well integrated, then it's not a deal breaker for me. |

A Machine for Pigs is like Dear Esther with a horror atmosphere during the late 1800's. It is, for the most part, a walking simulator with a few chase moments. |

Heroes 6 was potentially as good as 3, but instead if felt way, way more like a never ending grind fest. I couldn't put my finger on it... it just never lived up to it's potential. |

Thanks for that mini-review Axis. I loved World of Xeen so much, but still enjoyed 6 & 7, so I was curious to see how this would turn out. Too bad uPlay is intertwined with the Steam version. |

Translation: We will make sure the fan runs at "bone saw setting" at all times because we are pushing this chip as hard as we can to compete with GK110 and we didn't put any effort into the cooling system. |

I was so excited when this came to PC. I played it and thought it was great. Then I played it some more, and it got a little repetitive but I still liked it. And then it got extremely repetitive... and I stopped playing. |

Steam has them all marked as such in the individual store page, its just not very interesting to code some UI work to actually use that info. Really? So you care just enough or too much for this new feature? |

They have nothing to bring to the table. EA at least owns many, many developer houses. Gearbox releases a game less often than Valve does and, as it has already been pointed out, their games aren't exactly instant classics like Vavle games.
Nothing to see here, move on. |

I was waiting for a complete definitive edition, but I guess everything at 75% is good enough.
Still, I feel a bit bad. We were promised PBEM play and it's still not supported Do you mean pitboss? PBEM can be setup manually to be fairly easy. Just create a shortcut on your desktop to the saves folder, and email it to whomever after you take your turn. |

Mashiki Amiketo wrote on Feb 16, 2012, 13:25: I really wasn't impressed with Civ5. Civ3 and 4 are still my favorites, speaking of which I think I'll go play some. I was a vocally really against Civ V during it's first few months. The last few patches brought about some good balances, though. It's ultimately going to have trade off's with Civ IV - no research manipulation, no individual city management, and a hard limit of 1upt being the biggest drawbacks - but honestly, as much as I was looking forward to this game and then was initially against what I thought were big steps backwards, it has come into it's own.
I hope the expansion puts it on the same level as Civ 4:BTS |
