7 pounds, hahaha.

For the price of this thing you can get two other laptops with (mostly) the same specs - LOL?

Man, that one looks to be even better too. 3d display, blu-ray, JBL speakers... Razer announcement doesn't seem to mention any of that.

I was watching the entire trilogy again on Sunday and kept thinking how amazing Trespasser would've been if it was made today with modern technology and (much)better gameplay.

E-450 sounds pretty sweet. It's edging closer to gaming-capable netbooks. If you can stand to play modern games at lowest possible settings, that is.

I don't understand why I need to upgrade to Snow Leopard before upgrading to Lion. They expect me to pay additional $30 for an upgrade so I can promptly throw it away and upgrade again? It's like they don't want my money.

Hehe, I wouldn't be surprised if the idea for regenerating health and 2 weapon limits came from Trespasser and not modern shooters. DNF has been in development long enough to be inspired from it.

Truly amazing the amount of support this series has been getting to keep them up to date. I hope they come to GoG soon!
Battlezone I (1998) is probably my favourite FPS/RTS hybrid.

the name "iRacing" doesn't exactly conjure up hardcore simulation in my mind. People who don't know what it is would likely assume that's it's a racing game for iphone/ipad.

What do you think of your card?

Was considering buying one of these because of the bleh onboard audio I have been using, but it's hard to justify the money these days.

I have Xonar DX. It's WAY better than my onboard card thanks to dolby headphone support, and it actually does LFE crossover correctly (unlike cheapo realtek chips) so I get much better bass when using speakers. In terms of signal clarity - i can't really tell, but the reviews indicate that it's much better. :/

All my future builds will have a Xonar for sure.

Onlive on xbox and ps3?? What would be the platform holder's incentive for allowing another platform to usurp the playerbase? I can only see this working if it only allowed PC-only games, or onlive exclusives.

I like the idea, but I'd hate to replace the whole motherboard when the onboard SSD fails for RMA or whatever (seems like ssds fail left and right, if the following article is to be believed: http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2011/05/the-hot-crazy-solid-state-drive-scale.html)

Apple appstore's terms are not nearly as bad. At least you get full control over the pricing of the app (except subscriptions).

which party are you referring to? IGDA board of directors or Amazon?
Sounds like a fair warning to me. I wouldn't want Amazon to put my game up for 75% sale for no reason and end up with much less payout.

There are hundreds and hundreds of indie games out there on Steam that don't seem to amount to anything. Minecraft is and always will be a fluke.

I generally agree with this statement, although there weren't too many choices when it comes to games like Minecraft that lets you exercise creativity and share it across the world. One might argue that Notch foresaw the potential viral effect and made a very clever decision.
