It's both hilarious and awesome that their earnings report says "Nintendo Dual Screen".
But it's sad that they are doing poorly. Probably my favourite publisher after Valve.

1 mil the first day, 0.5 mil the second day? Uh oh, by the simple law of geometric series, the total number of SC2 sold over its lifetime will be 1/(1-0.5) = 2 million

I would think that glasses-less stuff like 3DS still carry the same risks. I think it's more of the mismatch between focal distance and convergence distance that can cause damages, which glasses-less systems aren't free of either.

20% of sales dropped to 7%. I wouldn't be surprised if their shitty DRM contributed to the drop.

It's good news that Netflix is coming here, but we probably have the worst internet services of any western country. With 30~60GB bandwidth cap I'd be lucky to watch 1 season's worth of shows and not end up paying those expensive expensive penalty fees.

Yeah, i know that the 3rd party DSL resellers have no bandwidth cap, but with recent CRTC ruling that's very soon to change.

I have no doubt that the game will be good, but they really need to stop hiring colourblind 12-year olds to do art.

Interesting how the "they don't get it" defense is laced with the original GTA and Crackdown as examples of doing something radical that people eventually accept, even though those two games got very positive reviews from the start.

Is that true? I bought a couple games from GFWL before but never DLCs. (it lets you pay with credit card instead of MS point when you buy full games)

Even if the technology works as intended (and it sounds like it does for the most part) it will have to be affordable or offer compelling exclusive content for this service to float.

I can't see it being affordable unless publishers are willing to cut prices, but why would they do that? Would they really risk OnLive cutting into their retail profit if experiencing the same game on OnLive is worth the discount for most gamers? Even if I have a machine that's capable of running the latest games, if I can get a $50 game for half the price on OnLive, I might go that route instead. that's like $20 lost for publishers right there!

As for exclusive content... well, we'll see.

I don't hate GFWL, but there are things they can do to make the experience much smoother. For example, why bother having distinction between offline and online account at all? It only serves to confuse people.

I speculate that, today, if the console games are pirated just as much as PC games, console games would still make more money. Consoles are decent now. It's not like 10 years ago when PC was the only kid in town for online gaming, HD gaming, competitive gaming, and nice things like voice chats and friend lists.

Well I guess GFWL is pretty bad too.
Damn, the game looks fun, but still way too brown. Is this supposed to be post-apocalyptic F1 racing?

Although it's multiplayer focused, it's very much Tie Fighter/X-wing type of space combat.

I wouldn't be surprised if they released a facebook app that lets you interact with your battle.net friends and view achievements and such - why bother creating a stand-alone client for just 2 games that nobody wants to be running in the background, when you can just leverage an existing social network?

Brilliant. I was wondering how they'll do a stand-alone battle.net client but they don't even have to if they go with Facebook. Brilliant and... cheap.

Definitely... I'd bet that the same 8% of problem gamers the same people that would throw away life savings at a casino. There are many literature that discusses the physiological differences between a normal brain and the one from a person who has addictive personality.

I guess the survey doesn't really draw a dramatic conclusion and blame games for all society's ills or anything like that. Nevertheless I put much more faith on studies done by psychologists than psychiatrists.

Reminds me of mid-90's FPSs.
