Ah, after a few searches, apparently an English version of Drakensang: River of Time has been released in Belgium and a few other places, just nothing in the US yet.
It's like these guys have never heard of digital distribution or something, I am sure they would clean up on Steam/Impulse/etc.
Icewind wrote on Nov 29, 2010, 20:54: Shame they'll never come here. I just finished the second Drakensang game, River of Time, last month. Not a bad Dragon Age alternative.
River of Time, English version? Or do you speak German? Last I had checked, there was no official English version yet...
Let me go head over to gog.com and make sure there is no annoying fine print, but it all seems ideal so far. Fuck Steam and impulse compared to gog.com, even after their publicity stunt.
*EDIT* oops missed the earlier announcement below, but basically NO ONE SHOULD BUY THIS GAME ON ANY OTHER ONLINE DRM FILLED SERVICE. *EDIT*
Hrm, only four minor fixes... it may officially be time for me to reinstall this game and finish it, as my initial try years ago ended in a rage quit due to bugs.
This game was fun back when it was basically just a tech demo in the Unreal 3 engine... definite purchase for me when they finish the retail version, and good choice on not doing a bunch of DLC nonsense, or at least LESS of it.
Now, I'm sure they will release it on Impulse, Steam, but hopefully right off the bat on services like GOG.com or Greenhouse too, or anything with less DRM overhead...
PS. Typo in the first line: "Trendy Entertainment Forms" Forms -> Forums, obviously.
Ugh... that pvp combat looks horrible. I was not that into this game, but I know more than a few ex-WoW people who were hoping SW:tOR was going to basically be the second coming.
Seems like they are going to be severely disappointed.
This is a boring story anyway, but how in the fuck did THQ expect to have higher sales this year with no new game releases? Why would their stockholders believe that shit anyway?
This is of course, internet nerd rage, somewhat directed at the joke that is the stock market and the fictional money that resides within. Please excuse.
Overon wrote on Nov 2, 2010, 15:06: Nerdy correction: You mean atoms not molecules. There are far more atoms than molecules in the universe since atoms make up molecues. You stand corrected sir. You are welcome.
To be fair, there are a lot of molecules in the universe also! But yes, it flows better with atoms.
Lead and Gold is a decent game, but screw Shattered Horizon. DX10 only, multiplayer only shooter by a mostly unknown studio... could you guarantee failure any more? Maybe it's the greatest game ever, but I'll continue to boycott it for the DX10 nonsense.
Still, good luck with the free weekend, hopefully some people actually start playing Lead and Gold.
