I bought Torchlight, finished it, and enjoyed it briefly, but as others have said, it was too easy, and too shallow really.

The second one needs to at least have options for much more difficulty, and hopefully they have reworked the talent trees almost entirely. Hopefully not just massively increased hp or something, but faster enemies, better AI, and so forth, for methods of increasing the difficulty.

I'm torn on this. Either Reagle is a complete and utter moron, or he's one of the more brilliant satirists I've ever seen. He managed to combine everything people hate about the COD community in one single statement that claims to describe the reason why people hate the CoD community.

I'm either staggeringly impressed, or on the verge of losing my faith in humanity (again). Wonder which way the coin will fall.

Lol, I thought the same thing. Unfortunately, based on his past comments, it seems that he is being genuine. Humanity loses yet again.

Arrgh... stop... the massive hype machine... and release the game!

Yet another interesting tidbit from Guild Wars 2, I am sure we will all enjoy playing it in 2017, when they finally get sick of parceling out information.

Most obvious suggestion: Don't require constant online drm to play single player. I, and many others, refused to buy C&C4 even on sale because of that nonsense.

Check out the "0" user scores on Metacritic for The Witcher 2. All of them have also given Dragon Age 2 a score of 10. Here's one of particular interest

http://www.metacritic.com/user/Bioware_Intern

It's sad for Bioware if they are truly behind this.

Rofl, did you read the Bioware_Intern's reviews? No way is that a real person, in the sense that it's an actual bioware employee; it's obviously a joke reviewer.

Blatantly obvious, much like the fake Rahm Emanuel Tweeter, etc.

What the... no K/D ratio displayed? Boycott for life!

Seriously, how is Valve going to penalize/reward me if certain numbers aren't openly tracked?

Read the whole interview; he comes across as mostly sane. Also as a somewhat large overlord having talented engineers fetch him coffee!

The excerpt in yellow above is taken somewhat out of context, but still it's a disturbing idea for any company to have, in my opinion.

Rewards might be fine in some way, but financially penalizing customers based on opinions/some weird metrics? That is just open to all sorts of abuse.

Side note, considering how apparently awesome it is to work at Valve, I wonder how people are getting along with the *supposedly* extremely OCD Icefrog of DoTA.

Microtransactions! NooOOooo!

But seriously, hopefully all their microtransaction nonsense is meaningless fluff, hats and so forth. On the plus side, this is the first thing I've heard about this game that I am negative about.

Clearly, all of these people ranting about how Diablo 3 looks like WoW have never played a Diablo game before. It's not about immersion and flashy graphics. It's about spamming your spells to kill the 90194 bad guys that are trying to kill you, and picking up loot, then doing it all over again against harder enemies for better loot.

The graphics are fine. The gameplay will be fine. There's not many ways you can fuck up hack and slash.

I agree, and I'm looking forward to Diablo 3, but it begs the question... what exactly is taking them so long?

I'll wait for Grim Dawn.

In the mean time I'll keep with Titans Quest.

Titan's Quest.. I played the hell out of that game, and it really didn't offer any challenge at all after a certain point. Hopefully Diablo 3 remains challenging in the high levels. TQ too easy entirely too fast, even with added difficulty mods.

Grim Dawn!? Never heard of it, but after a quick web search, it looks pretty good! Hope those guys are able to actually release the game. Also, it's based off of the Titan's Quest engine, interesting. Also they are aiming for around 20$ as a regular price, excellent.

On Topic: Diablo 3 is looking fairly good, still leaning towards buying it at this point.

How nice, you can keep participating in the game without actually playing the game!

When humanity wakes up and quits all MMOs, the species as a whole will have matured. Of course this will never happen, gg humanity.

Silent Storm is one of my favorite games, all time. As many colossal fuckups as JoWooD is responsible for, I will miss them for the now MUCH less likely continuation of the Silent Storm series.

Wow, 1 million. That's like .001% of what they made on any random Sports ripoff title. Way to donate, EA.

Congratulations to the customers who actually made that donation, however.

I know things are still being released about this game but if I pick up 3 without playing 1 and 2 will I miss or not get anything?

You will miss out on the tremendous opportunity to feel rage and sorrow over the loss of a somewhat interesting full party control game, in favor of yet another solo character 'action-rpg.'

Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 featured parties of up to 8 or 6 party characters respectively that you could control simultaneously, whereas DS3 is basically a single player character per player game.

Basically the main selling point of the first two Dungeon Siege games is no longer present, making this game barely a Dungeon Siege game at all.

This looks like the Farmville version of DoubleBear's still unreleased Dead State, with some Minecraft ripoffery thrown in.

Asking for donations before there is a demo? Cue cynicism.

Hrm, where is the option for BOTH maps free?

Enough nickle and dime bullshit, already. People who bought this game Day 1 already paid to beta test it for you, it was incredibly buggy.

*headdesk* If they hadn't given you anything new, you'd not have said a word. They give you something for free--they let you CHOOSE what you want for free--and your complaint is that you WANT MOAR FOR FREE.

Look, most companies used to release maps for free. It's only recently that people have come to accept additional maps as paid DLC.

Aside from that, the game was UNPLAYABLE for basically a month or more, for people who paid full price. If it wasn't that bad, MAYBE I could tolerate paying for additional map(s).

Yes, I would have liked both maps for free, and I am not really keen on yet another game/developer/publisher trying to persuade people to use Facebook.

They still haven't even fixed the bug that allows players to fall through the world, to their instant deaths. How many months has it been? Fix that COMPLETELY before you talk about paying for more maps. Currently it is mostly fixed, but still possible to fall through the world, especially after getting bounced around a bit by an enemy.

As far as joining games to use that map, when you haven't bought the DLC; interesting, but I most likely won't sidestep the issue like that, assuming I have the willpower.
