Cautiously optimistic about CD Projekt getting to release Activision/Blizzard games... one should never get involved with these guys, but hopefully their anti-DRM stance will rub off a little, rather than the extremely pro-drm/control stance of Activision.
At the very least it should give CD Projekt some serious funds.

But seriously, the Origin system of games being removed from your account has changed this from being a day one purchase for me, to maybe 10-5 dollar bargain bin range. As it is, I am annoyed at having to time my previous, formerly non Origin EA games, to prevent them from suddenly ceasing to be usable(not counting cracks of course).

Wow, this game is gorgeous! It's amazing how the indie and semi-indie studios seem to be able to get such badass artists and musicians, but keep up the good work, Frozenbyte.

I'm still shedding bitter tears over how well DoW 2 is apparently doing.
Homeworld 3 will never happen because of this; a real DoW 1 sequel will never happen because of this.
Congrats if you enjoy this new 'rts' style, but ugh, surely I am not the only one who misses larger scale rts games?

Man, anytime I see anything on the Mass Effect series, I just think of how much BETTER these games would have all been, in more of a BG2 combat style, with updated engine/graphics of course.
The last thing the world needed was another crappy cover based shooter, seriously. 6 person party tactical combat in a future setting could have blown every other game out of the water.
Poor choice from Bioware, but they've been on a downhill slide since the first one came out.

Considering how crappy the upcoming RPG landscape looks, it may be time to reinstall NWN2 again, and try this out.

Shovelware? I'd hope not. I'm assuming they are aiming at a more polished sort of Indie size/level game, fairly small goal, and hopefully smaller price tag.
At the very least this should be interesting, maybe developers are finally realizing that nobody wants to buy their console port crap at 50-60 dollars a pop, for 5-6 hours of gameplay.

I must be getting old; I tried the demo of this like a month ago, it was mildly amusing, but more annoying than anything else because of the crosshair design and backgrounds.
I had trouble really gauging firing lines and so forth, also the weapons seemed to be wildly out of whack in terms of power/usefulness.
It reminded me a lot of Star Control 2, and I'd probably like it a lot more if there was an option/toggle for less involved backgrounds, pure black or mostly black or whatever.

This game looks pretty interesting, but it mostly makes me miss the Battlezone series. That was a much better RTS/FPS hybrid, about 10 years ago.

Unfortunately, they will most likely never make Homeworld 3.
They made so much money on their watered down, DLCed Dawn of War 2 compared to what they made for the Homeworld series, or even Dawn of War 1, that they are going to continue to produce watered down bullshit in the future. re: Warhammer 40k: Space Marine.
Company of Heroes 2 we might see, but it will most likely be less traditional or even Relic style cap point RTS, and more DoW 2.
